We are leaving tomorrow and planning to do a water park on saturday. Does anyone have any pictures they can share to help me decide which one to go to or any suggestions. It will be me, DH, and DS. DS is 8 and is a thrill seeker. Any help would be GREAT!!

I have 2 children ages 17 and 7. We WAY prefer Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon was nice and the wave pool was cool but BB was a blast and the theming is wonderful. Both places have great atmosphere but with your thrill seeking DS, I'd definitely do BB! My DS rode all the slides except for Summit Plummet. Slush Gusher is pretty scary too!

WE always went to TL because I loved it so much. Finally, decided to try BB. My kids were 9 and 6. OMG, it was so much better. We had such a blast on all the slides, the family raft ride is so much better than TL. And they have that pre-teen area that was fabulous. TL is prettier but there is so much more to do at BB.

Go early, stake out a spot in pre-teen are, do all the slides before it gets too crowded, then park yourself and your son will have a blast doing all the fun things in pre-teen place. There's walking on ice bergs while hanging on a rope and some smaller slides. It's great.

We just got back yesterday and tried both. My kids preferred TL. DD is 7 and DS is almost 10. The 7 year old wanted to spend most of her day at the wave pool--they don't have a wave pool at BB--she just loved "body surfing". TL also has those three new "water roller coasters" which we all tried. They are pretty intense and I would imagine a thrill seeker would love them. The theming is much better at TL--since its supposed to be a tropical paradise, the foliage is so beautiful. Since BB is supposed to be "arctic" there are not alot of trees around. I do agree that the family raft ride is much better at BB--my DD said the one at TL was just "pathetic". I really wouldn't waste my time on that. We actually went to the water parks three times, and I now consider myself a pro. If you are going to spend a whole day there, get there early. We showed up at TL at about 9:20--they opened at 10. There was already a line of probably 150 folks in front of us. They let you into the park about 9:30, but don't let you down to where the chairs are until 10. Of course, there was a mad dash for umbrellas and shaded areas, but there were plenty for everyone. We stayed until just about closing and while we ventured away from our "shady spot", no other guests infringed on it. So get a shady spot, and then you always have a place to come back to and get out of the heat. Reapply sunscreen at least once--it seems that the risk of sun burn is greater here than in th eparks--I think the wave pool really washes the sunscreen off the little ones. Also, I think TL has more sandy beach areas than BB--if you want some sand. And finally, we spotted Lilo and Stitch at TL--saw no characters at BB--if you are interested in seeing them. Have fun wherever you go!

You know, it's funny, we just got back and we had only been to TL on our first trip. Our friends had only been to BB. I wasn't prepared to like BB, but the family raft ride is awesome and it's great to be able to ride the chair lift up to it. Our friends ended up liking TL better because of the wave pool and swimming with the sharks.

TL is prettier, but you can't go wrong with either.

Yeah, we love both too. But something about the theming of TL always brings us back. Plus, the new Crush-n-Gusher was awesome. We tried it in April and my son (11) loved it! Unfortunately, my son (6) wasn't tall enogh. But next time he should make the requirement. Have fun!

Thanks for all the input. Based on what I read, I think we will go to BB. I have not been to either of them so I thought I would ask all my friends on the board. You guys are the greatest! :disrocks:

Typhoon lagoon has the new crusher gusher slides!! And the awesome wave pool and snorkling w/sharks!
