We are heading down tomorrow, this is a relatively last minute trip that we booked about two weeks ago. Because it was so last minute I was unable to get some FP's for rides my kids want to try. Specifically the mine train, if we are there early are the lines usually crazy? Most crowd calendars are predicting 4s & 5s next week, but plenty of FPs were unavailable. Also, can you get more than 3 FPs the day of? I'm a little out of touch and, frankly, hate all this pre-planning.

Any FP advice is appreciated.

Also noticed most days next week are calling for 60-90% chance of rain. Should I take that to mean a passing shower, or is this a time of year when all day rains are typical?

Thanks for the feedback!

@mjc2003 I think it's a good idea get to MK for rope drop and get in line for Mine Train first thing. Cast members lead the crowd to the queue. I found it worth it and we waited less than 10 minutes to get on. As for the extra fastpass, once you used your 3 you hopefully signed up for through MDE, you can check out one of the FP kiosks to add another. I would suggest bringing ponchos for the rain. In my experience (I'm from NJ), the rain can last about 20-30 minutes then goes away. Have a great trip!

Answers to FP FAQs like yours can be found in the green link in my signature, but you can get more than 3 per day.

Standard daily FL weather forecast from now until September. Be ready for generally brief afternoon thundershowers.

A little warning about the rain, the outdoor coasters do tend to close when it rains due to lightening, etc. So I definitely think if you want to ride any of those (if possible) try to ride them right away. As for the rain itself, it never stopped us. Throw on a poncho and keep going. We actually walked across the park in front of castle in the pouring rain with our ponchos on. And it was actually kind of cool, because there were no other people around, the hub was empty. Of course our feet were soaked but it was fun.
