The forecast is calling for temps 67-73 highs with 60%+ chance of rain each day we are planning to go to the parks. I'm trying to decide if we would bring actual rain jackets instead of lots of emergency ponchos (lets face it, emergency ponchos are okay, but if you know its going to rain actual rain jackets are better). Also, I can't decide between pants and shorts - maybe capris?? We're coming from the cold Midwest, but I'm guessing 70 in the rain will still feel cool.

I think that's capri weather but Im from the frozen North. I would bring your rain jackets. Worst thing that can happen is you wont use them.

Rain jackets are easier to manage

I'd bring pants and shorts. Temps can swing alot this time of year, last Thurs it was 27, Sun it was 80

Maybe a toga?

The lower portion of my legs rarely gets cold (unless, of course, it is Ohio, NJ or Massachusetts this time of year).

I personally would pack only capris or crop pants....especially if you are taking up extra room in your luggage for a rain jacket.

I took capris and then layered tshirts with hoodies. It was mostly in the 60's with a few hours everyday nearing 70. I was there last month and it was the wind coming off the northern storms that made it cold enough for hoodies in the mornings (before about 11) and the evenings (sundown/5 oclockish). We had no rain so I imagine that might make even the 70's feel colder than normal.

This time of year in Florida, if you plan to be outside all day and want to be comfortable, the best option is zip-leg pants like these: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/77026?feat=622-CL1&page=women-s-no-fly-zone-pants-zip-leg. You will probably need the pants in the morning and evening, but will appreciate the shorts more in the afternoon (according to my car's temperature readout, it hit 90 where I live yesterday). Rain often ushers in colder weather this time of year, so you may appreciate the rain jackets. Just getting out of the rain as quickly as possible is also a solution-- it probably won't last long. I would bring pants and shorts. You'll use both equally.
