Hi! We are leaving for Disneyland today!
Anyone have any word on the weather, crowds or things the parks have planned for New Year's?? We have been at this time of year before and know it will be CROWDED, but I was wondering if the crowds were already bad. Anyone???

well i can only speak for the week of Dec 16-21st. Crowds were very light. Max wait for rides 15 mins if that on some. Longest line we waited in was autopia and it was about 15 mins that day. even peter pan in the morning was okay. Please note we did not do dumbo whose line was a little crowded. Had a fast pass for indiana and the cast member said it will shave about 30 seconds off your wait time lol. went on pirates during parade as most say you should and the poor cast member that loads you on the boat was leaned against the wall and looked really bored. We were in line at 6:40am for thursdays magic morning to do nemo and were on the first boat of the day to ride. Cute ride... but when i look at all those poor folks who wait anything over 30 mins with their little ones i cringe... Even roger rabbit about 10:00 am was walk on.... I know in the summer this is a must to fast pass( if the fast pass works frequently broken)The days were low 60 i still wore my jacket because im always cold. but by 3 or 4:00 it begins to really get chilly when the sun goes down. I've been to disneyland 3 times this year now and this trip we were able to do little things we never thought to do.
Tiki room for instance, and the train ride from autopia to the main gate was a surprise. I had never done this and there are dinosaurs on display in there that really made my youngest son's day. Innoventions was slightly disapointing.... half the floor was xbox gamming and to me that is not a futuristic innovention. But cast members did say this week would be very different ....

too late now, but mouseplanet (I hear) and micechat are already reporting partial closures, even before today...good luck, hope you get in!
