Was just looking over the weather for Orlando over the next 5 days...shorts will not be necessary...dang. :guilty:

ah well - when DH asks why my luggage is so heavy, I can tell him big sweatshirts weigh alot! hehehe

Who cares though - it's 4 degrees outside right now and it's supposed to warm up to 30 so it can snow later today...I'll take mid 60's!

The same thing has happened to us on our last two December trips. The cold weather seems to follow us. You will have a great time anyway!!! Have fun!!

I would pack at least 1 pair anyway... its going to be back to the 70's in a few days... and remember, your body is adjusted to that bitter cold right now, so it will feel warmer to you.

Well, it could warm up more than that... :wizard:

I would pack a couple pairs of shorts too, just in case. Have a great trip! :sunny:

We leave Friday & are definitely packing some shorts. It has been in the single digits & teens here temperature wise all week - snowing like crazy right now. My parents actually just moved to FL at the end of December. Since they were so used to the cold weather up here (Cleveland area) they have been wearing shorts since they got there. The days with a high of 67-69 & sunny should feel good in shorts, especially when walking around all day.

We're packing a little of everything - definitely some cooler days on tap in Orlando over the next week, but I've also seen some 70's forecasted. I've packed shorts, jeans, short sleeves, long sleeves & sweatshirts. Even brought the bathing suit! :D

We are leaving on friday morning for a long weekend. The girls are bringing one pair of long pants, one pair of capris, and one pair of shorts. After a week of subzero weather, 70 degrees might seem unbearably hot to us. Have fun everybody.

Florida weather is crazy. Pack at least a pair of shorts. You are used to a lot colder weather than we will ever see. So our "cold" weather will be different to you.

What do you mean no Shorts, we are leaving in the morning and we all packed bathing suits.

If it ain't hard enough to walk on then it is swimable.

Reaaly after the cold in NE right now mid 60's will be paradise

enjoy your trip

Dave

I'm going in between. I'm leaving the shorts, but packing a couple pairs of capri pants and 3/4 length sleeve shirts. Come on warm weather. I guess anything will feel better than the 12 degrees it is now at home!!
:cheer2: :cheer2:

We only wore jeans when we went in Dec. It didn't bother me. I was really cold one day, but I'd rather be cold in WDW than be cold in my little boring hometown. :)

If you think your hands might get cold make sure you pack extra gloves. Plain black stretch gloves like the ones you can get at Walmart for $1 cost $8 in WDW. They have no characters on them, either. DS2 lost his gloves. Since it was cold, and we were doing MVMCP, I had to buy another pair. Just a suggestion.

Have fun on your trip!!!! :flower:

hehe...thanks all! I have 2 pairs of capris packed - my legs really aren't in "shorts condition". heheheh
and yes, I have my cheapy stretchy gloves in my carry on too - as well as my hat with the ear flaps! heheh...my parents make fun of this hat so much. "we BEGGED you to wear that kind of hat when you were a kid - it's about time you wisen'd up!" heheh

(and yes dave - I have 2 bathingsuits packed! last january, DH was the ONLY ONE in the AKL pool...)
thanks for the well wishes!

Wow, I really miss that NH spirit!!!! (I have the only kids in the neighborhood that swim in Dec... all these FL people are wimps!)

Any predictions for the ice-out on Lake Winni?

It was 14 below zero here all day yesterday. 60 degrees would make me break out in a sweat. Bring shorts!

:cool1:

I saw the 10 day forcast and next week in Orlando ... it's predictable to be in the 70's.

BRING YOUR SHORTS!!!!
