Leaving then returning w/o PH?

If you have the regular MYW tickets, one park per day, can you leave the park and return to that same park later for the evening show? Or do you need to have a park hopper ticket for that? Wasn't sure if it is considered 'hopping' to leave and come back to the same park. Guessing not, but I don't want to go through all of the hassle to find out we can't get back in/or we use an extra day of our tickets or something. :/

At WDW it'll be no issue.

At DL if you have a single day ticket I believe you still have to get a hand stamp to return.

I failed to say that our tickets are linked to our magic bands (or so I assume??? Purchased as part of the package, so I shouldn't have to do anything). So the scanning thing at the park entrance will recognize that we are reusing the ticket from earlier in the day? I don't want to get to our last day and be out of tickets! Like have it think we are using another day...

I know it's a dumb question, but this is our first magic band/non park hopper trip.

Tickets aren't linked to magic bands. Their linked to MDE which the MB's read the MDE info.

Once you use a ticket for a day, you can exit and re-enter that same park as many times as you want. You don't need to do anything. This is why you can't go to another park without a park hopper and try to use a second ticket in the same day.
