Leaving soon

Weather still been brilliant, from tomorrow its supposed to drop a few degrees.
Saturday we were in MK for opening, crowds OK til lunchtime then crazy 2 hour + for popular rides, past MK car park today around 1pm and looked like they had closed the gates again, they were turning cars away.

Sunday went to Busch, never seen it so busy. Tigers in Jungala were very active love the new area.

Today(Monday) chill day, Disney outlet store at Prime, been to look at Xmas decs at Wilderness lodge, Grand Floridian(incl gingerbread house) & Beach club(incl gingerbread carousel), ate lunch at Beaches & cream, they do the best burgers in Disney imo. then this evening AKL and ate at Boma, now absolutely stuffed.

Tomorrow Animal Kingdom.:goodvibes

have a great day at animal kingdom!
have to agree with you about the burgers at beaches and cream:love:
another great place for burgers how moma used to make is at fantasy of flight :thumbsup2

Wayne!!! i forgot you're going to florida on xmas!!
i hope you're having a super fantastic time!!!!!!!!!!

Got to AK for opening this morning, lots just leaving so guess it was an early EMH day. How many did they let in AK today? it must have been at capacity, never ever seen it so busy and don't think it could possibly be safe to allow anymore in. Worked it quite well with fastpasses and single rider line but had to avoid a lot 2 hour + lines again.
Temps did cool a little today, great from around 12-4ish but morning and evening needed a fleece. Still not anywhere near as cool as other Xmas' though.
Ate at Mimi's this evening, great value as ever. $64 for 4 of us and stuffed again, Liver, onions, mushrooms and bacon was delicious(I always have same at Mimi's, after about 10 visits never tried anything else I like it so much)
Yes taken about 1000 pics so far, will either post a few when I get home or create an online album.
Epcot tomorrow for NYE, getting there for opening, will stay for 7:40 fireworks.

another great day!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I'll have to check out Mimis when we go!:goodvibes

Have a great New Years Eve - and happy to New Year to all!!!:lovestruc :lovestruc

So glad you are enjoying yourself and the weather has been above average so far. I hope you have a lovely NYE at Epcot.

Happy New Year everybody.:goodvibes

hoping parks will be quieter after new years day, refuse to queue for 2 hours for a ride, still it was a great atmosphere in IOA and universal yesterday.

Lovely to hear from you, glad your having a good time :goodvibes
Hope you have a wonderful NYE :thumbsup2

Epcot was as manic as ever today, 81,000 people in there, just mental. I took photo of the Soarin time, 280 minute wait, thats 4 hour 40 mins, who waits more than 20 mins for a ride?
Single rider on Test track we saw at 80 mins.
Longest line we stood in was electric umberella for lunch, 45 mins:mad:
We got there for 8am and worked fast passes well and shorter lines, but 10 am and everything was too busy to ride.
Jus had to kill about 1 hour waiting for fireworks at 7:30. Came out and needed fast food so did Golden Corral, Not somewhere we really like, gets too busy for us but tonight it was dead and the food was better than usual, veg very fresh and not overcooked, steak was exceptionally good(never had good steak there) Only let down was service, he was useless but food was great.
Happy New Year everyone
MGM tomorrow:goodvibes

Thanks for the update. Happy New Year to everyone.

Well that is certainly an eye opener for the crowd levels in Epcot on NYE, what a wait time for Soarin, no way we would wait. We cannot cope with small lines now with getting used to walking on, using FPs and the like, arriving early, done everything a lot. It would have been nice to just savour the atmosphere which we would have enjoyed.

I hope the lines start to subside now we are into 2009.

4 hours and 40 minutes????????? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

who stands in a line like that unless they're giving away money...

Just got back today - weather has been great and should stay that way for you :) We went to AK Xmas day morning - found lines not too bad until later in the day.

DD managed to spend the Disney $'s you got her (thank you)

Hapy New Year to you - hope you have a great stay.

Wayne, good to see you are having a good time. We won't queue for more than 40 minutes.

I have to agree about Golden Corral - food is good value - service normally non-existant!

Enjoy the rest of your stay!:thumbsup2

Hi Wayne
Forgot we were both there this Christmas! We could have given you a wave - we had Christmas Dinner (7.30) at Citricos then watched the fireworks and water pageant from the beach at GF!

Hi Tracy, hope you had a good time. Was it MIL you went with? how did you go with her? Ours has been OK, no falling out yet, only 1 full day left.
We ate at Trails End tonight then saw water pagaent, 1st time we have seen it for about 16 years.
We were not planning on coming out again until August as its our 20th Anniversary and making it special/different, staying at OKW with free dining, business class flights, 7 night Disney cruise, total 25 nights. but we have been talking this week about a short trip in May, 7-9 nights while our Annual passes are still valid.

MGM today was way busier than expected. got thru gates 15 mins after opening, straight to TSM, the line to get fast passes was right upto, little mermaid, cast member saying it was 30-40 mins to get fastpasses. we didn't bother, went to get TofT instead then stood in single rider for RnRC, was not happy though, line was short but still took 45 mins. We were all exhausted today after so many busy days so came out mid afternoon, had a few hours relaxing bofre going for meal.
After leaving FW parking area saw 3 deer laid at side of road watching us.
Back to MK tomorrow.

40 minutes to get a FP?????????? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
