Hi,

Travelling over from Australia. Which dates would you recommend as the best for crowds/weather?

We do that last week in Jan most years, and it's a great time to visit. The crowds are better. The weather can be hit-or-miss. We've had some cold snaps, but 90% of the trips we spent at least a day or two at the pool. It's also our favorite festival at EPCOT - Festival of the Arts. With Easter in early April in 2026, the first week of March should be better - probably a little busier than Jan, but not as bad as some years. Weather likely to be warmer more consistently. I'd recommend Jan-Feb, but either will be a good choice.

I think this year the Florida panhandle had more snow pack than the dakotas at one point in time.....but it was unusually cold in Florida in January this year.

I would opt for January to avoid crowds. Our last visit in January was in 2020 and it was mostly overcast and chilly (you could wear a light sweater/jacket during the day, but I needed something a bit heavier in the evenings) but there was no rain. However, you might luck out with nicer weather. March weather is (usually!) warmer, but it is more crowded.
