Leaving School...

I know this topic has come a million times, so I'm here to make the toll a million and one.

In January I'm going to Disney for two weeks, and I'll be missing a week of school. In the past this has never beena problem, but this is the first time I will be 'skipping' high school. I'm a bit worried about my teacher's reactions, because my school is VERY academic, and I'm in their Leadership Program. I'll only be missing English, TIK (Computer Programming), History and Science, two of thsoe subject I excel in.

Have any high school students ever had issues leaving school for a week? Espcially a month before final exams? Any information would be useful. I figure it'll be like "being sick" and staying home for a week, but I'm not entirely certain...

well we can only have 9 absenses, then we have to make them up with saturday school, so if you have a rule like that DO NOT miss any school before that week. That way youre in good standing. Get your work before hand (I know its not fun to do homework in wdw, but sacrifices must be made) and I think everything will be okay.

My brother has missed two high school years in a row. Grade ten, and grade eleven. Grade ten, he had no problem whatsoever catching up. Grade eleven, he struggled a bit, but he got some work done before he left.

So ask your teachers if it's possible to get work before you leave that you could finish. Worse comes to worse, you can do homework on the plane.
