We are a family of four with Twin 8 year old girls. We are in moderately fair athletic condition. My girls love "big kid" rides and don't want to ride the kiddie rides. So to that we will be able to skip some of the "kiddie" rides and focus on bigger attractions but still stopping to meet characters and enjoy alot of the magic designed for their age.

Our trip is for 8 nights 9 days for the week of May 14 - May 22nd. We are leaving Philadelphia in the afternoon arriving in Orlando at 3:30pm. Hoping to arrive at the CR around 5:30. Hopefully we will get a good room arriving that late in the afternoon. We purchased 7 day park hopper's and the MYW Dining plan. I have all my PS's for the week. We were also given 19 meal vouchers from a friend. Our general rule of thought has been to maximize our park time and allow for rest. Most days will have the following schedule (or something close to this).

- Arrive at park very early (first thing).
- Tour parks using info from UG, TGM, Passporter and the disboard of course.
- Leave parks around 1 - 2 PM
- Go back to hotel for Rest or swim or whatever we feel like.
- Most of our PS's are for early dinners so we will have a leisurely afternoon, get dressed for dinner - go to dinner then go to a park for the evening.

Here's the outline for our trip considering Park hours and the following, recently posted EMH for the time we will be there.

Any thoughts, suggestions or tips on this itinerary would be a big help. I haven't been to Disney since I was 11 in 1978 so I am only going on what I have read and the wisdom of those on these boards. Thanks for all your help everyone

anyone? I am curious if anyone thinks this is a good plan....

It looks like a great plan. HDD is a long evening. After our show we were too tired to tour anymore and went to the hotel for a swim.

We built in naps and rest daily, but rarely ended up going back. We jumped on the monorail for rest, used the AAA diamonds lounge for air conditioned rest. I think it's important to rest and relax, but we were too busy and excited to go back except for a couple of days.

You've certainly done your homework and have planned well. I think your meals are great choices.

Too old for kiddie rides? I still love dumbo and the carrosel myself.

Have a wonderful trip. I wouldn't change a thing. Just remember, it 's okay to get off track, you're on vacation in the greatest place on earth!

Looks great to me... any room in the suitcase for me? ;)

Have a great time!

Lat I checked we sill have at least 4 inches next to the socks ( we are over - packers). Thanks for responding. I am being very optimistic about resting. I know my girls will be pushing to stay all day. I hope I can resist their pouty lips and cute smiles. :flower:

It sounds fine to me. We'll be there the same time! We'll be at MGM Monday as well. However the rest of the days looks like we'll miss each other by a day :)

Marriedmarylander. What hotel are you staying at?

Personally I'd switch Sunday and Tuesday around. Tuesday is the least crowded day for the MK, while the crowd on Sunday for Epcot is light. Plus for many families the MK spoils kids a bit for the other parks since it has so many rides.

A waterpark in the middle of the week is a great way to refresh, we usually try and go on a Wednesday after three days of parks.

I wanted to do Epcot on our first day. We ended up getting CRT for our first day.

I can't wait to see the girls faces when they meet Cinderella and eat in the castle :flower: :earsboy: Sorry, I started to burst. :earsboy:
