Leaving Pop w/ Magical Express

This is going to be my 2nd time at WDW and our first time flying. I found a picture guide explaining what happens when you land but what about when you have to leave to go back to the airport. Where do you take your bags? Are you able to get your boarding passes at Pop before going to the airport? TIA!

There are going to be variables at work here. First, it depends on what time your flight is scheduled to depart at. If your flight leaves after 8:30am, then you should be able to check your bags and get boarding passes issued at Pop....as long as you are flying on a participating airline.
The RAC counter (where you will check your bags and get bp's), is located outside the entrance to Pop. It opens at 5am....you have to be completely finished with your baggage check and bp's in hand no less than 3 hrs prior to flight departure time...so, if you have an 8:30 flight, you should be able to make it, but you have to be out at the RAC counter when they open at 5am.

IF you aren't exactly sure as to where to go to find RAC, just ask any Pop CM...they can direct you.

Yes you will get your boarding pass before leaving. The morning of your departure you will go to the RAC desk (open from 5AM to 1PM) with your luggage. There you will check your luggage and receive boarding passes. Make sure you have ID with you. When you check in, the CM should give you info as to when to board the bus to the airport, which is normally 3 hours before airline departure. My friend uses ME from POP always and I think they will/can put your boarding passes on your door morning of departure, but you still need to get your luggage to the RAC desk which is outside the entrance to POP. (on the right) I've never used ME but do use RAC to check my luggage to airport.

Thank you! Our flight leaves at 4:10pm. We have an ADR at Ohana's for 10:25 so I will take the luggage there before we leave for breakfast, correct? Will they hold onto our carryons at the hotel or do I have to carry them around with us?

Right, check your checked luggage with RAC and get your boarding passes from them. You'll need picture ID to check your bags and get your boarding passes.

Take your carry on luggage to the luggage services folks -- they are just to the right of the RAC check-in area -- and they will store your luggage while you go to breakfast and do other stuff. They will give you claim tickets and put stickers on all of your carry on bags. Then, make sure you are back to catch the DME bus at least 15 minutes before your DME departure time WITH your carry on bags (that means you'll need to retrieve your carry on bags before that). I tip the luggage service guys/gals. We've done this at Pop numerous times and it works fine.

Have a great trip. You'll see others doing this on the days you're at Pop. If you have any questions about timing, etc. the Pop CMs are terrific and always have a great attitude about helping newbies (and not so newbies).

Yep, you got it right! Just allow enough time for other people checking bags then getting to Ohana. I think I'd try to check bags around 8:30. Using Disney transportation, you can go to MK then monorail to poly for breakfast!! yummy!!!!

You have yet to mention what airline you are flying. It has to be one of the participating airlines. Info can be found in this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=944813

*Southwest
*United
*US Air

All other airlines you would have to take your baggage with you stowed under the bus and you would have to check them at the airport. If that is the case, bell services will hold all of your bags for you until you return from your ADR.
