Leaving personal beach chairs at VB overnight

Does anyone have experience with leaving personal beach chairs on the beach overnight at Vero? Like maybe under/near the rental pier? Did you have any trouble with them being stolen? Did you lock them up? Is it frowned up to do this? I remember years ago there being a beach chair swap but am unable to find anything recent about it.

Any advice is appreciated.

The Beach Chair swap stopped years ago.
It has been a few years since we were at Vero. I coordinated an exchange once with a member on the DIS. Another year we “ gifted” them to a family on the beach the morning we were checking out.
We took our chairs to our OVIR each night and storedthem on our balcony

I agree store them on your balcony if you don't want them to disappear.
