Leaving on the 14th

I came across the thread about the pilot program where if you are staying at a resort between now and January 1st you can book a future stay in August and September 2007 that would include the DDP Free. I mentioned it to my DH, and he immediately suggested that we go down for a weekend to take advantage of the program. This past June was his first visit staying onsite and now he is completely hooked, and will not even think of staying anywhere other than Disney Property! We had been planning to take our DS, Allen, for his 21st birthday in September so this gives us the perfect excuse to go down and start all the planning!

As it turns out DH and I couldn’t get the time off together so making the trip will be Allen and I. Although I am really bummed that DH won’t be able to come, I am excited to be spending the time with Allen. We are actually only staying the night of the 14th, but will have the majority of the day on the 15th there as well. Allen has only ever spent the day at Animal Kingdom, and has never even seen a Disney Hotel, or eaten on property. We will be staying at Pop, and ADR’s were not easy to get so are having dinner at Concourse Steak, breakfast at Kona Café and lunch the next day at Rainforest Café…all firsts for him. I can’t wait! It’s so much fun experiencing everything with someone who has never been to WDW before!

We are also going to disney on 12/14. My younger son and I are only going for 4 nights- just a short trip, my first christmas trip ever. I am so excited that I finally get to see all of the xmas decorations- I can't wait.

Way back in 1988, my first husband and I took our daughter on a trip to Disneyland during Christmas time. The decorations that were there were beautiful. At that time we stayed at a Hilton, so I have never actually been in the Disneyland Hotel, but I hear that has some great decorations in it as well. That is one of the reasons I am so excited about this trip, I really want to see all the decorations! Even though we won't be going into any of the parks, we are going to tour the Deluxe Resorts to see how everything is decorated. I already have the camcorder and the digital camera batteries all charged up and ready to go! When I get home I will post pictures!

I have to go buy a new memory card for my camera- lost my 1GB when we moved into our new home last month. I want to take lots of pictures. I am so excited as well!!!!!!

We're leaving on the 14th, too! Less than 2 weeks to go! Have you guys started packing yet? I'm getting our luggage out this weekend. WooHoo!!!
