Hello! Hope everyone had a good holiday! This time next week I will be in Disney world! With that in mind I am starting to think there is some planning that I need to do. My dining reservations have been made. Long time ago. Fast pass+ bought. Parks planned out with dining reservations since we are in out twenties and have no kids. Does anyone have any suggestions in preparations for my upcoming trip? I am excited but am getting nervous to another post I saw about the crowd levels and thinking I need to plan more!

I can't think of anything to add to your list. I will be arriving the same day so I can imagine how excited you are! Hope you have a great trip!!!

You can't BUY fastpass+; they send you an invitation to try it as it's not fully functional yet. Did you mean the photo thing?

just keep checking posts on the boards to see what current in the parks - we'll be down there with you & all we're doing is getting 'live' reports - have fun

Yes...I meant photopass+. Was reding about fast pass right before post! Is fast past completely changed? I was unclear to the post I have been reading...

All that has changed so far is the enforcement of the time window. More changes are on the way, but not before next week.

Have a great trip!

It will be busy on Jan. 1, but after that, you will have the parks almost to yourself. Rain lasts only about 20 min normally in Orlando, so you can just wait in a shop. Don't buy a poncho in the park though, if you want to walk around in the rain. If you do, get a poncho from a Walgreen's or CVS because those are only $1-2. The ponchos in the parks are $7-8. You seem prepared. Have a great time! :)

Actually, local schools are out all of next week. As are many schools around the country. If they go into it expecting empty parks from 1/2 forward, they will be shocked and disappointed. Monday 1/7 is when the "empty" parks will hit.

Thanks for the reality check! I have been to Disney the 2nd week in January and faced a lot more foreign tour groups than, but the crowd level was not bad. We are doing the deluxe dining plan so really looking forward to enjoying the food! The weather, as of now, seems to be ok...high 60s low 70s. I am going to pretty much live in capris, Disney t-shirts and a sweatshirt during the day. Night time I was thinking jeans and a sweater. Any suggestions for night time the first week of January? I know it can be really cold at night.

Hello monflofau! Getting ready for my trip here! How are you? Hope you had a good holiday!

Bring gloves, a hat, and a jacket. Be prepared for anything and hope you don't need it.

Have a great trip!

Thanks so much! I was thinking of bringing a pair of uggs with me for night. At least my feet will be warm!

I went at that time two years ago and was so grateful for my uggs. I wore them the entire week actually since it was unseasonably cold. I'm from Boston too, and my definition of cold is probably a lot lower than most!

2010 was cold by anyone's standards.

I'm here right now. It was 34 degrees the other morning. It was pretty cold last night too. Gloves, hat and scarf take little room to pack and for 2 days out of 6 so far, I've been glad to have them.

Thanks everyone! Definitely going to bring scarfs and gloves! I made a new post but figured I would post this new question in here. Maybe you guys could help answer this question....

I have reservations at the Coral Reef at 4:25. However, I am planning a surprise for DBF (Pirates and Pals Cruise). We have to be at the contemporary by 7:30. I also made reservations for the Coral Reef at 3:05 because I didn't know which route would be better to go with. Does anyone know how long the dining experience takes at the Coral Reef and how long it will take from Epcot to the Contemporary? I would like to go back to the hotel before or after dinner to get changed from park clothes pirate:

What reservation time would you all go with?
