Are you heading back to MK for night time entertainment that night?

Magic Kingdom to Beach Club (E-7 on my map below.)
Long trip, one-way.
VERY long round-trip.

If you want Beaches and Cream, go on an Epcot or DHS day.

Are you going to Epcot at anytime? YOu could leave thur the IG ..International Gateway and walk to Beach Club and go then..Personally I would take the boat...if not going to Epcot I would change my ADR...just way too much time involved...

You are going to have to pay 10 dollars a seat because you didn't cancel 24 hours in advance

Hmmm. I've only been to Beaches and Cream once. It was nice, and its ice cream is good. But, I wouldn't go that much out of my way for it. If it were convenient (i.e. if I was at one of the nearby resorts or wanted to leave Epcot or maybe DHS), sure. Or, if you're wanting a chance to explore the Yacht and Beach Clubs or something, this could be a good thing to do while there. But otherwise, no way would I make that much effort to go over there. The food is fine but nothing particularly unique or special. And the dessserts, while very good, well it's frankly not that hard to find some places with really good ice cream desserts. Personally, I think the Ghiradelli place in Disney Springs has better ice cream; I also think there's a new place on the Boardwalk that also has good ice cream - no reservations needed.

It is absolutely not worth leaving MK to go to Beaches and Cream. Go to the Plaza and get dinner and sundaes instead. The sundaes aren't as grand at the Plaza, but it's the same ice cream. If you really want to do Beaches and Cream, as others have suggested, go on an EP day and exit out IG. IMHO, the ice cream at the France pavilion is much better and the ice cream at Ample Hills on the Boardwalk beats them all.

Thanks everyone, I will cancel. It looked like a bit much for some ice cream.
Sorry I should have been more clear, It's for an August trip so plenty of time to cancel. I've been trying to for an ADR on our Epcot day just no luck so far.

Sorry, but I don't think it's worth it, either. The sundaes are good, but the food is nothing special. My DH and I decided we would no longer make lunch/dinner reservations there - too pricey for what you get. If you're going for something like the Kitchen Sink or something, sure, but not for the burgers.

If you do go anyway, my DH and I have enjoyed the Milky Way sundae, the No Way Jose, and there's an Oreo sundae I liked (don't know the name, though). I think Ghirardelli sundaes are just as good (but we can get those in Chicago anytime). This trip, if we go for ice cream, it will be to Ample Hills Creamery at the Boardwalk.
