Leaving MK for a two hour break

We have a Space Mountain FP for 3:05 and PPF FP for 5:05. Is that enough of a gap to leave the park if we hit the back end of the second FP window?

Where are you planning to take the break? That would have a big impact on if it’s doable or not.

If you are walking to CR, sure. Maybe GF and Poly using the monorail. Anywhere else, no way. Simply waiting for transportation will eat up a ton of that two hours. If you aren't heading to CR, Poly or GF, I would find a quiet place in MK and just relax for a bit. Perhaps Tom Sawyer Island. We like to get ice cream at the Plaza ice cream shop and sit on the Tomorrowland Terrace in the afternoon. There is usually no one else there.

Staying near Disney Springs. Maybe back to hotel or eat at a restaurant near there. Three teenage daughters if that makes a difference. How long will it take us to get to our car?

We don't drive when they're there, so I can't speak to how long it takes to get to the TTC (I think that's where the parking is?), but keep in mind when you re-enter, you'll go back through security, and transportation time from park - hotel - restaurant - hotel? - park, can take a very long time.

I'd say a minimum of half an hour each way just to get to your car. Then maybe 15/20 more to drive to your hotel?
That's assuming everything is running smoothly with minimal crowds and traffic. Maybe you could head over to one of the monorail hotels for a quieter meal there instead?

Let's say you hit SM right at 3:00. It's still going to be around 3:20 before you're walking back out (at the earliest). Then you have to walk out of MK to the monorail or ferry and wait for one of them to get you to TTC, then walk to your car. So maybe 3:40-45 by the time you get to your car. You'd be back at your hotel or somewhere to eat around 4:15-30.

Then you have to do it all in reverse. To make that 5:05 at the end of time, I'm going to use 6:05. There is a grace period, but they don't HAVE to honor it. So, you need to be back at Peter Pan by 6:05. You're going to want to be parked at TTC no later than 5:30. You'll need to leave from Disney Springs 5:00-5:10 to be able to do that.

So you have maybe 45 min at Disney Springs. Have fun!

I would recommend thinking about eating somewhere closer...that seems rushed and not necessarily relaxing to me, if you are aiming for a break. Perhaps you could snag an early dinner at one of the monorail resorts and just have a relaxing meal?

And, since this is MK, it is VERY likely that you can move your second FP.

"Missed" FPs can be "moved" (for any available attraction) even after their original window has expired.

I would not bother. Too much rushing around. Try to get a reservation in the park or one of the monorail resorts.

I'd say an easier plan would be to eat in the park, or at one of the monrail resorts. 2 hours is not a lot of time once you factor transportation.

Kind of joking, but not really! Haha! It's my plan for March!

This was my favorite ride as a kid, and I couldn't wait to share it with my own kids. We went on it with our son in '15 when he was 5, and he loved it... I, however, slept through the ENTIRE thing! We went back the next year, and... yep, slept again. I will add, it was the best power nap I've ever had, haha!

I love CoP! The last scene is very outdated and my kids think it’s hilarious (“what’s a car phone mom?”)but I can’t help but love it. Nostalgia I guess...

Don't forget that FP is not immediate. We had a 20 minute wait for Space yesterday in the FP line at noon. We got in the ride cars at exactly the time we were supposed to be at Skipper Canteen for our lunch ADR. Thank goodness they were understanding of our late arrival!

At 3 pm, I would not expect walk on for Space, any time of year. And just walking out of the park at that hour takes a few minutes. Give yourselves more time for your break.

Too much work for too little time. I'd eat in the park or at a Magic Kingdom area restaurant.
