Leaving Item for Guest at Resort

I have a small gift bag I wanted to leave for someone checking into WL. Does anyone know if I can do this? I wanted to just leave it at the front desk so they could have it at check-in. I'm concerned that they won't get it, especially if I leave it "before" they check in. Would it be better to drop it off the next day after they are registered?

Hi. I think it will probably be okay to leave it at the front desk but if you will feel better, drop it by after they have checked in. Are they by chance staying concierge? If so, I wouldn't hesistate at all in leaving something for them; in fact the staff can put in the room. I had our room full of great things for my dd's birthday at the Poly. It was great fun. Maybe someone who is more familiar with WL cm's will be able to help you more. If it was me, I wouldn't have a problem doing that... after all they hold luggage and such for guests before the rooms are ready. My guess would be that they are very used to doing things like that. Just mho.

I agree. It may be a bit better to wait until they've actually checked in and been assigned a room. Reason being, they could change something at the last minute from the original room assignment. We've done that before because of a variety of reasons....that saves the staff from having to transport the gift around the resort.

If you know the date they are checking in it helps.I did this for a friend this summer and they were able to find the reservation and add a note to give them the package when they checked in. This was at POP but it worked great.

For security reasons, you might need to show the CM at the desk exactly what you are leaving for the other guest. Just so you aren't leaving them anything that explodes or something.
