Leaving in the morning - ** Now live from the world!**

We went to MK yesterday, it opened at 7am but we were tired so we decided to get there about 9am, I was a bit worried that it would be full but it was fine. It was busy on Main Street but nowehere near as bad as we thought it would be. We rode Its a Small World which was a walk on and Pirtates which had a 10 min wait. Most other things had queues of approx 60 mins so we decided to just enjoy the atmosphere. The decorations were beautiful and it felt very festive. It was much warmer yesterday and it was a lovely way to spend Xmas day. We watched most of the parade and then went to Crystal Palace for lunch, we had to wait nearly an hour to be seated by which time we were starving! After lunch we left and came back to Pop for a rest, chat to family etc. We were going to go back to MK in the eve but decided to go to the cinema instead, it was soooooo busy at DTD, I think the parks must have been empty! :rotfl2: We saw the Hobbit which dh wanted to see, I fell alseep about 10 mins in and woke up about 10 mins from the end, $15 well spent for me! :lmao:

We went to BB today, it was a bit cooler but was still nice enough. We got there about 10 mins before opening, there was only 2 other cars in the car park and the place was deserted!! I was the only person swimming in the wave pool and there were zero lines. We stayed till lunch when it clouded over and then went to the Golden Corral for lunch :goodvibes

I wonder if the other people at BB were also Brits? lol
Sounds like you are having a great time.:goodvibes

Sounded as if MK was very busy but a great atmosphere.

Looking forward to further updates :)

Just caught up. Fab report Jen. Glad ur having a great time. Always come back arnd the 23 rd as thought crowds were ridiculous. How did u find xmas day?

We went to US on Thursday, we got there just before opening and it was already very busy. We walked past the new Despicable Me ride which had a queue of 70 mins at 8am! We didn't bother to ride this and thankfully the other queues were shorter. We rode Shrek which had a 10 min wait, Twister also 10 mins and Disaster which was 15 mins. We haven't done Disaster since it was updated and we both really liked this. Simpsons was showing a 20 min wait but the queue looked longer so we carried on by. We then did Terminator which had a 10 min wait. I was starting to feel really unwell with a sore throat so we decided to call it a day. :crazy2: First we wandered back to RRR which had been closed earlier due to the cold. It was now open and the single rider queue was 45 mins, I told dh to go and ride it as he never had before and we didn't know when he would the chance again. I sat on a bench and waited, it actually ended up being 90 mins and not 45! :( Whilst waiting I amused myself with my first ever dipping dots ice cream, people were looking at me like I was mad for having ice cream in the slightly chilly weather but it was prefect for my sore throat. We then left te park and went to TGI's for lunch. I was feeling even worse by this point so we went back to the hotel so I could lay down :faint:

Enjoying the TR, sounds like a great time. Our November trip seems like a distant memory now, still…..looking froward to August 2013 and 2 weeks at Kidani. Can’t wait for February when we can start booking ADR,s. Hope the throat gets better..have a great time :goodvibes

We found Xmas day fine, we were too tired to get there at opening so we knew it would be busy by the time we got there just after 9am. It was nowhere near as bad as thought it would be, there were quite a few rides which had wait times of only 10-20 mins :-)

loving the live TR thank you for taking the time to do it ....... hope you're feeling better :goodvibes

Hope you are feeling better now Jen, there's so many bugs and viruses going round at the moment I expect you picked it up on the plane....
I cant believe the waits at Universal!! Seems crazy, when we were there at Easter it was only 15 minutes wait for the HRRR in the main line!

Can't wait to hear more.
Have fun :)

Sorry for the delay in posting, have been too ill :headache:

So, on Friday we went to HS, we got there just before opening and it was sooooooo busy!! The car park looked really full and we wondered how much we would be able to get done. Dh went staright to TSM and got fast passes, I waited on the seats near ToT whilst he rode that and RnR, surprisingly the queues were only 10-20 mins (it amazes me how well the parks can handle busy days), we then went on the Great Movie Ride which was a 5 min wait, we had the cowboy version which we haven't had for years. We then used our fastpasses for TSM and dh beat me by a long way. I was feeling more and more unwell as the morning went on and by 11am I couldn't take it anymore so we left and drove to Walgreens to get some medication. I then went to bed where I stayed for the rest of Friday, all of Saturday and Sunday!

I felt slightly better this morning so we went to the Florida Mall, by the time we got there I felt terrible again so I spent the morning sitting outside shops whilst dh shopped! I'm now back in bed yet again and unless the latest medication I have bought suddenly kicks in it looks like we are going to miss NYE at Epcot

Happy new year from my sick bed in WDW!! :faint:

Oh dear what a dreadful time to be sick ...... hope you get better soon and at least recover enough to enjoy NYE at EPCOT which is amazing :goodvibes:goodvibes

Oh you poor thing I hope you feel better asap:hug:

We went to MK on Friday & it was manic :confused3 only stayed 2hours then gave up&went to Epcot:thumbsup2

Arrived home this morning after 3&half fab weeks:(

Hope you soon feel better&can enjoy the rest of your holiday pixiedust:

Sorry to hear that you are sick.
Hope you are well now to enjoy the rest of your trip.

Really enjoyed reading your live trip pie so far, such a shame you have been ill though. Hope you're better soon.

Feeling loads better now thanks :thumbsup2

We went to Epcot NYE to see the fireworks, it was very busy but we were lucky to find a bench to sit on. The atmosphere was amazing, there were lots of different sound stages around with DJ's playing music, I wasn't well enough to drink or really enjoy it though. :crazy2: The fireworks were just incredible, the countdown to midnight was approx 10 minutes late, I don;t know whether they were supposed to be or whether there had been a problem or not :confused3

On Tuesday we slept in till 10am after out late night and then spent a very lazy day by the pool. The weather the last few days has been amazing, the temp has gone up to about 26 and it is lovely and sunny :beach:

Yesterday we went to Epcot, TT was closed last week and we wanted to ride it, we got there just before opening at 8am (EMH) and it was very busy, we didn't make it into the park until 8:30 and we headed straight to TT which already had a 40 min queue. We chose to do single rider and were lucky enough to end up in the same car. We were both really disappointed with the new ride, I don't want to ruin it so won't say too much but in our opinion the changes were a complete waste of time. We then did Ellen's energy adventure and then headed to Mousegear where we spent way too much money!! It was 11am so we wandered over to world showcase and went anti-clockwise round past Canada. We had a look in the shops etc and stopped for lunch in Morroco, I think the quick service food here is some of the best offered in WDW ::yes::. We left Epcot after lunch and returned to Pop to spend the afternoon by the pool :beach:

Last night we went to HS to see the Osbourne lights which were amazing pixiedust: The queue for Start Tours was only 10 mins so we had a go on that and had a general wander round the park. It was lovely to be well enough to make it back into the parks yesterday :banana::banana:

Glad you are feeling better now :) We landed back home on the 1st January - surprisingly we were saying that we thought the crowds were busier then we had seen before - the I4 was a car park!

We were in MK on Xmas Eve and it was heaving - if you stayed after the fireworks though it really calmed down and we managed to get a lot done. A cm was saying that MK closed at 10am on Xmas Day.

Glad the weather is lovely - enjoy the rest of your holiday :goodvibes

Wonderful to hear how you're feeling better and that you managed to get to EPCOT for NYE.

Lucky you that the weather has improved and you can now enjoy it. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay :goodvibes

Glad you are feeling better and you enjoyed NYE. We have been there 5 times for it, wouldn't want to be anywhere else if I was in Orlando at that time of year.
I hope I am getting all my illness out of the way before our next trip. When we returned in Nov I started with a pain in my elbow, turned out to be Tennis elbow, had cortisone injection in it last week which seems to have worked (after the first 48hrs of worse pain) now have a cold I am trying to shift. Still 12 weeks to get fully fit.:goodvibes

glad you're feeling better too.

had cortisone injection in it last week which seems to have worked

Florida has not been kind on our health, lol.
I still have an injection once a day and I'm still looking at 6 weeks of daily injections... I won't be cleared for travel until at least 3 months ... well actually I'm glad enough I'm still around ... :rolleyes1
