We are leaving next Saturday for our big family Disney Trip! :Pinkbounc I am trying to figure out what we should be anticipating for crowd levels. We originally booked for October on the advice that October is a low crowd time. But then I am hearing other people say that it is a high crowd time?

I just want to go in with the appropriate level of expectation so, we are going to have a good time no matter what, but it will help in planning to know what are reasonable expectations. We will be there from the 15th to the 22nd of October.

Any tips for minimizing wait times as well?
TIA!

You should be okay. It's crowded because of MNNSHP. Avoid MK on the days of the party and avoid the parks that have EMH's. If you DO use the EHM's do the EVENING ones. The morning ones are a nightmare.

We were at the MK on Sept. 23. The UG Guide gave it a 6 on crowd level. This was EMH day too. We basically walked on all rides. The maximum wait was 10 minutes on Splash Mtn. It was overcast that day though..so that may have scared some people away.

Crowds at MNSSHP and Epcot F&W will be increased, and there is a big conference at the Swan and Dolphin hotels. Last year at the same exact week the parks were not too bad. We were there right after Labor Day and there were no crowds.

Your week we be lower than the week before Due to Columbus Day being in that week. Hope you have a great time. We will be there the 22nd thru the 28th. :Pinkbounc

This was our third October trip, and the largest crowds we've seen this time of year. It was unusually hot, humid and rainy (but we expected the rain). I was disappointed about the crowds, but we had a great trip regardless.
I think you can expect more crowds than previous October trips, but it sure beats the summer crowds.
Have a great time!

We were there that day too!!! Wasn't it great? My very first time to MK and hardly any lines at all! Plus it being overcast was a plus so we didn't get too hot!

We leave in 10 day and I'm hoping for moderate crowds. I know the week-ends will be busy and Epcot will be busy because of the F&W Festivel. But hoping the other parks will not be too busy.
