Leaving in a Day for the Swan

Any advice, hints tidbits for someone who found this board only a week before leaving for WDW? My mom and I are having a girls weekend togetehr and staying at the Swan. We only booked this trip last weekend with some really good travel deals. Best part about it? Only having to wait a week to go!!!!

Make sure to take a self guided resort tour to walk around and see all that the Swan and Dolphin has to offer. Located in the Dolphin, are Tubbi's Buffeteria, the Dolphin Fountain (a cute little ice cream shoppe/cafe), arcade, fitness center, laundry room, and hair salon. After you check out the Dolphin's lobby, walk through to the front of the hotel like you are going to leave and look up! The roof has shooting stars!

Best part about it? The Grotto Pool the location of the resort and how close it is to Epcot and MGM, and those heavenly beds!

Thanks! I like it too. I'm a transplant in Texas. I didn't get to attend OU due to out of state tuition but by gosh I didn't go to UT or A&M either! Glad to see other Sooners love WDW just as much! I'm bringing my OU shirt this weekend so I can wear it to MGM where I hear ESPN is having a college game day broadcast this weekend!

BTW...I hope to see Corso to rub some things in his face!!! lol

For a nice 'useable' souvineir get a refillable mug at Tubbi's (they are by the checkout) and you get free soda/coffee refills. It is about a 5 min walk to Tubbi's from the Swan.

Call and ask for robes if you would like to use them. They are thick and super comfy. They will bring to your room.

The pool has stated hours but you can use it 24/7 (except for when closed for a convention event). We went several nites about 11:30 at night.

Transport to Epcot & MGM is either via boat or walking trail. Transport to all other Disney parks is via bus. The boat is centrally located between the 2 hotels.

Self-parking is free

Package delivery from all parks to your hotel is available (except for the last day or so)

If you have a laptop with an ethernet card, you can sit in your room at the Swan and tell us how it is going, just AS I AM DOING NOW!!!

The Boardwalk is a quick 3 minute stroll away.

Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club is about a 10 minute walk

If I were not running on empty after a HOT day at the Animal Kingdom I could come up with some more stuff.

Oh please, please, please, tell that those Heavenly Beds truly are Heavenly...I've been looking forward to them all week!!!! This is my last night in a "regular" bed!!
