It is Wed. and we leave Friday: YIKES! :scared:

I just got back from Target to buy some supplies, and I spent $291! It's ridiculous! Extra socks, underwear, and enough medicine to open my own drug store! Children's Pepto, Grown-up Imodium, cough and cold kids, nyquil, advil, etc. etc. etc. (Have I mentioned we've been sick a lot lately? So I bought one of everything b/c I'm paranoid!)

This is our FIRST week-long WDW trip, and we are flying (also our first). I researched the heck outta everything, but it doesn't take away my fear that we will be stranded without something we need, hence the desire to overpack.

You all have such joy and anticipation for your trips, so I was wandering if I am a whacko for wishing I had another week to pack and prepare even though I've been working on this since November?

I KNOW we are going to have fun and I'm sure my nerves are unfounded... Things that freak me out:

I couldn't buy the mole skin b/c you have to cut it to fit your needs, but we can't pack scissors b/c of airport security right?

I have to UNPACK all the shorts and mix in some pants, b/c it looks like it is in the low 60's right now... I am not fond of layers -- it means more clothes to pack!

And... I don't have time to vacuum the house or shampoo the dog who is staying with Grandma... and... I am such a worry wart right now!

I hope I come home and laugh at myself in hindsight, b/c that would be nice. I need some pixie dust, or maybe a valium? :)

Oi Vey -- Mickey, here we come ready or not!!!

Here's the pixie dust you wished for pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

See how the Disney magic works so fast!

Try not to stress out. When you feel stressed, tell yourself it's not stress, it's excitement. Let's put a pixiedust positive spin on your worries pixiedust:

I've never used moleskin. My family wears Crocs, or sneakers with socks, so if your family wears shoes that fit, I think you can probably risk it!

You're smart to pack some pants (and sweatshirts). I live in No. FL and it's been chilly at night and early morning, but has been warming up nicely in the afternoon's.

Good luck and have a wonderful time! YaY! You're going to Disney!!

Thank You both! The dust worked wonders, and I won't worry about the moleskin. ;)

That was a very nice reality check... much better! :thumbsup2

:cloud9:

We are back, and I will start the posting! We had a WONDERFUL time... only in WDW can you celebrate and have a great time through two kids with the stomach flu! I'll be posting more in the trip report, but both our boys were sick for 2 days, but we still had a GREAT time! Awesome trip... absolutely wonderful!!

Thanks again for the dust -- it was a JOY! :)

Can't wait to hear all about it, sickness and all... Make sure that lots of pictures are included...

By the way, did you need the moleskin???

:goodvibes Funny you should mention the moleskin... I found some callous cover thingy's instead. My older son complained about his feet, but when I checked I didn't see anything. SO I put a soft cover on his foot... he didn't like it very much, so it came off after a day!

As first-timers, it was full of "ah-ha" moments and thankfullness. We had no idea POR was SO gorgeous! And the details! The rides! The shows! The character dining! I could go on and on... I LOVED that WDW spoiled us rotten and our luggage and groceries "magically" appeared in our room! Every one who helped us said, "my pleasure." :-)

For our anniversary, we got two special cupcakes w/ candles (one w/ singing at the 50's Prime Time) and at Coral Reef we had a special dark chocolate banner that said "Best Wishes" (it was DELICIOUS!! :) ).

So we felt special, and soaked it all in... we can't wait to go back! There was a lot of stuff missed, esp. from the boys being sick. We would stay in for the morning, and only do half days at the parks.

I had fretted about the stroller, and I found WDW can hold an 8 and 7 year old (combined weight 110 pounds!) at the max, and most of the time the 8 and 5 yr. old... we probably looked silly, but they were sick and didn't feel like walking much. They even turned down all the "make your own sundays" at the restaurants!!

But there was no complaining... they were little troopers!

As for our pictures, my DH took over 600 and we watched them on the TV (hooked by cable). It took hours!!! I will have a lot of screening and choosing to do to get a few good ones ready!

Now, how do I link my previous posts to another thread? I'd love to link a TR to this orginal post... from "freak out" to "nightmares" to "dreams come true!" :)

Anyone know?

Thanks all... it was absolutely wonderful and beautiful and more than we could have hoped for! :goodvibes

Someone taught me, that's how it is in my signature. I'm going to go find the directions and post back.

OK. Here I am. These were the directions given to me, and it worked (i.e, my signature link). Good Luck.

Cut/copy the URL of the first page of your PTR. Go to editing your signature, type the words of your title (or whatever else you want the link to say), highlight it, then click on the little icon that is a globe with what looks like a paperclip. A little box will pop up. Paste the URL in that box.
