OK, we're leaving for our Disney trip in two days, but we still haven't figured out how many days we want to spend in Disney. Help please!

We're staying in Windsor Hills, not in Disney. I was thinking of buying a seven day pass, that way we could see all four parks, then go back to what we liked best. Also, we wouldn't have to put in really long days, since I don't think the kids could manage it. But I just looked up ticket prices on a site called "The Official Ticket Center" and there's a promotion that if you buy a four day ticket, you get days five and six for free. If we did this, it would save $70 compared to a seven day pass. We could then spend our extra day at downtown Disney, or looking around some of the resorts or something like that.

Do we need all seven days? Or is six more than enough?

Has anyone bought from The Official Ticket Center? I looked at the Undercover Tourist, but I didn't get my act together in enough time to order from them. With this other place, I can just stop in and get them on the spot.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I've never purchased tickets with the company you mentioned.

Most tickets you can upgrade and add more days if you need, to a max. of 10 days and need to be used and upgraded within 14 days of first use (unless you pay for the non-expire tickets).

I would find out if the tickets you are thinking of purchasing can be upgraded. How many days will you be down there? You may want to do the waterparks - costs about $54 to add the waterparks and more option if you will use the waterparks/DQ at least twice.

I have heard of this company, they were either on All about the mouse or WDW today. They are a recognized Disney ticket seller, so they are selling disney tickets.

If you plan to spend time at downtown disney, you can do with just 6 days in the park. There is a lot to do in DD.

You'll appreciate a day off. I don't think you need a park for every day. If you don't feel like just hanging out, still want a Disney fix, you can have a meal at one of the resorts, or go to the movies at Fort Wilderness or something.

Have fun!

When/if you upgrade the tickets use them first so they are now set at the gate prices. Then you can go to Guest Services and add more days. It shouldn't cost more than about $5 per ticket to add a day.

WDW is very big. For a first time visit- most people recommend:
2 days MK
2 days Ep
1 day DHS
1 day AK
so a 6 day ticket should be fine. If you feel you want an extra day before your ticket runs out, you can upgrade it to add the extra day, it's not much more in cost to add an extra day. Any customer service booth in front of the parks can do it. You may find that you want to do something you didn't have time for, or revisit some favs.

Thanks everyone, you helped a lot! I think we'll do the six day ticket and take a day off somewhere in the middle.

Now I just have to worry about packing and the weather! Thunderstorms forecast for as long as the weather network predicts ahead :(

With the cost difference (about $5.00) between the 6 and 7 day pass, I would get the 7 day. When we go, we always get the maximum days that we are staying. One day we went to Universal Studios, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon and then at night we went to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations, as the extra days ticket cost almost nothing. You may get in the mood to go for a few hours that day and if you dont, money wise ts really no big deal.
