Hi All! We are new the forum! Ive been reading all the threads :) Love it all. We are taking a trip Mid October 2012 x 8 days and will be mine and DD4 first time staying inside Disney. We are staying POFQ! This is surprise visit for my DD4 for her birthday. We have made all our ADRs and are doing BBB. This is her second trip- I usually stay outside of Disney. Any feedback/ tips for going with almost 5 year old?? We are already doing CRT, Akershus, Yak and Yeti, Ohana dinner show. Debating on ADR for HS? I think we have too much planned. We are on DD-Delux. Also, what about online check in- worth it? Any chance wed be upgraded? We missed the free dining by a couple of days and missed upgrade to POR. :flower3: Thanks for having us!

We just got back from Disney 2 weeks ago and we spent one night at POFQ.. The only reason we stayed one night was because my mom came with us but it was just not big enough for 3 adults, 4 year old and a crawling baby but it was so beautiful.... I will definitely stay there again when we go back- I only wish I would have explored the resort more. We didnt even make it to the pool so you will have to let me know how you liked it.. I think your ADR's sound good! you asked about one for HS- I suggest Hollywood and Vine.. The Disney Junior Gang is there! Online check-in was a breeze. I suggest it so you dont have to wait!

The tip I can give you for taking your child.. Like I mentioned, I have a 4 year old.. Just patience... Be patient! I think I expected that my trip wasnt going to have any flaws and be perfect- but it was far from that..

Welcome and hope you enjoy your trip!!

We're leaving in just over a week too....actually closer to 2 LOL. I plan on doing online check in, but I don't know if it's always a 'benefit' necessarily. Sometimes we've waited in the online check in line just as long or longer than the regular check in line.

I agree with Marsheliz, the breakfast at Hollywood and Vine (HS) is good, and very fun for a younger child. The food for the breakfast buffet is standard fare...we enjoy it.

We just got back from 10 days with 4yo twin girls. They did great!! Busses, meals, some lines - they just took it in stride and became experts. The weather was unexpectedly super hot so we just watched for cues from them when they were done. This meant several short days (3-4 hours in a park) but we still managed to do a lot. We did not get to see any fireworks (too late), the one night we were set for the Electric parade it was cancelled and MNSSHP was a bust due to rain but all in all we really had a great time.
I think we hit just about every character meal there was - Cape May Cafe, CRT, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, Hollywood & Vine, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace & Akershus. We scheduled breakfasts & dinners and most of the time lunch was an ice cream sandwich. We also had DxDP (upgraded from free DDP) and only left 4 TS credits and multiple snacks (no biggie).
We did not do online check in for AKL, arrived around 12:30pm and our room was ready (bonus!). Magical Express is AWESOME and so was airline check in before we checked out.
Be patient, watch your daughter's cues and have a great time :)

Awesome, I hope you have an excellent time. Only advice I have is have tons of patients with a young child, and with other people you will run into that are not the most polite.
OK, I have to go rest my eyes, they are burning from reading that red coloured text!
