Leaving Hoop Dee Do to BCV

I understand even driving our own car will put us on a bus tour of FW. Would it be possible to take the boat to Contemporary, monorail to epcot then walk to BCV? How far would the walk be? What effect would rain have on my plan? I found the bus tour of FW to be very disappointing a long --- would travel to Pioneer Hall be different? Going to the 7:15 show.

If you have your own car, you might as well use it. The bus ride from the Outpost Depot to the Settlement Depot is 5 minutes at its longest.

Also, the monorail to Epcot then walking to BC won't work. You would actually need to enter Epcot to walk to BC and Epcot closes at 9 pm. I don't think you would make it in time. A better idea would be...

Assuming MK is open till at least 9 or 10 (you will have to check your dates), take the Ft. Wilderness boat to MK, and then catch the BC bus from there.

It's really not a bad ride from Pioneer Hall back to the main parking lot. And having your car will get you back to BCV much quicker than either of the other ways you mentioned. And the BCV self parking is so convenient!

BTW, getting from the contemporary to Epcot requires riding all the way around the resort monorail (contemp, MK, GF, Polynesian), getting off at TTC, and finally transferring to an epcot monorail. It's a pain in the neck! And if you did make it into the park before 9, you'll be fighting crowds trying to reach the main exit during the long walk through Epcot to the International Gateway.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I learned of unlimited alcoholic beverages at HDD, which added to the benefits public transportation. I guess DH will stick with soda

Then don't drive, take the boat to MK and bus back to your resort.
Enough beers and you won't care how long it takes to get back.
