Leaving for WDW tomorrow...help

So VMK Central is closed. I'm pretty new at VMK and don't know what is available to purchase at WDW so I can receive cards. Most of the online information looks dated.

Anyone have a current link or suggestions?

you can go to the emporium on main street and they should have pirate Q card packs with the pin trading pins and lanyards.. You get 2 pirate Q items and they are about 14.00 dollars each i bought like 8 packs and got some good stuff

I'm not 100% sure but I think if you buy something from the magic store they will give you a card for a Magic Mirror Poster. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know if that's right or not, but the Magic store is in Disneyland.

Are you talking about the one at Downtown Disney, that isn't actually run by Disney? If you are then that is great because I would love a magic mirror.

No you get wanted poster at WDW for buying a pic at splash mountain but not sure if that is still going on because there is no VMK central.

I know in September at the trading post where I bought my pirate pins for VMK I got free red candy dispenser.

We were there in June and the clerk asked me if I was on VMK when I bought my childrens' mickey ears. I didn't know about VMK at the time, so I said no.

Do they give cards for hat purchases?

Honestly I have no idea where it is and like I said I'm not sure if they give them with a purchase there. I haven't been in a few years and it was before I started playing VMK.

There is no longer a magic shop in Magic Kingdom in WDW. It has been gone for many years now. The Magic Mirror card was a Disneyland exclusive item.

The hat shop used to give a Gold Ears card with the purchase of a hat - but that has been discontinued.

The Wanted Posters that were given with the purchase of a photograph at either Splash Mountain or Buzz Lightyear have also been discontinued and have not been given for quite some time now. The Wanted Poster was a WDW exclusive item.

My last trip to WDW was in July, and I can confirm at that time that they were still giving out the Red Penny Press cards at the candy shop in Frontierland with a purchase.

The VMK Pirate pin packs seem to be the only sure thing at WDW right now in the way of code cards. You can usually find them at any pin station throughout all four parks. Downtown Disney's Pin Shop carries them as well.

Keep an eye on the weather we have been having rain down here in Fl and it looks like it going to be around for a few days.

Just type weather for orlando in google and it will bring up the forecast.

Just got back from WDW about three weaks ago, and they still had the penny press cards at the Trading Post in Magic Kingdom. Not sure if they would still have some now since VMK central is closed but it doesn't hurt to ask. I also bought several boxes of the pins. They are the boxes that have Mickey dressed like a pirate on the front and also say VMK virtual prize right on the box. I got some really cool stuff from these too, and the thing I thought was really neat was that if I got a few that were the same you can trade pins with Cast Members. I ended up being able to trade all of the pins (which was about four duplicates) for other pirate pins that you can't buy in the boxes. Obviously I kept the VMK cards that were duplicates and just traded the pins. Any cast member that is wearing a lanyard around their neck or some wear them on a belt, is able to trade pins with anyone. It was so much fun looking for pins that I didn't already have. Dizpinfriend sums it up nicely. That is all of what we found true in June. I would add that sometimes the candy store will give you the card without purchase as well.

Also the pirate packs that you can purchase are available in most resort gift shops and at Downtown Disney in the World of Disney as well as the pin shop.

Not too much now with the quests gone. DH is looking forward to no vmk quests for us to worry about next trip.

I just got back late Saturday. I found it difficult to find the VMK pirate pin packs at first for some reason, but the easiest place I found them was the Uptown Jewelers store on Main Street. I just walked to the racks near the back of the store and there they were.

I have the wanted poster card! I got it a few years ago but since i joined vmk last year I never got to use it!
