Leaving for SSR in 10 days - one question

I can't believe our trip is almost here. It has been so much fun reading everything about DVC over the months and to finally be going to SSR as a DVC member is awesome! I am planning to request the Grandstand and am wondering - do I call MS to make the request or call SSR directly? And if so, when can I make the request with SSR?

FYI, you can also make your request when you call to make your reservation. Have fun!

I called 3 days before our arrival and we got our requested location. Hope you enjoy your trip!

We requested Grandstand when we made our reservation. However, when we arrived, two entire buildings were taken by news media covering the new Toy Story Ride. We were staying in a 2 bedroom and did manage to get one in the Grandstand section but we had to wait to get it.

Thanks, I did call MS yesterday to request it. They told me that they would put it down as a request, but it is not guaranteed. We are so excited to be going - I know that we will love it no matter what section we are in. Looking forward to going on the TSR ride too!

If you don't get it assigned to you, you can always ask at check in if anything is available. The couple next to us at check in did this after not getting the the section they initially requested. They very poltely asked the CM if there was anything available in a particular section and she found them a room.
