I am up early because I can't sleep. I am leaving for Paris tonight and will return on the 29th. I am nervous about meeting my mother at the airport, and nervous about missing my family so much. But I am so excited to have this chance to see Paris, and to spend time with my mom.

So can someone please do something to calm me down. I'm a wreck!

I am sure you are going to have a wonderful time!! :sunny:

OU est le sals de bain? ;) Are you ready? Relax and just think of all the wonderful food you will get to eat and fun you will have. Bon Voyage :flower:

Have you been there before? Paris is one of my favorite places in the world. Be sure to spend lots of time in the Lourve and Orsay museums. Shop, shop, shop. Berthillion ice cream (the best ice cream you will ever have). Have fun!!!

Thanks for your responses. I know very little French, though, so I'm somewhat apprehensive. But I am sure we will get by.

Have a wonderful time with your mom, and be sure and post about your trip when you get back. :sunny:

My MIL and DD just got back last week. They had a great time and you will too.

I have been to Paris four times, and I second everything in the post above...esp. the ice cream...it truly is amazing!

I'm jealous! Can I come too? :wave2:

Can you fit in my suitcase? I need a translator. If not, can I do a conference call with you? BTW - that was so nice of you to do that for our fellow DIS'er. :goodvibes

My DW and I had our honeymoon there and we enjoyed every minute of it! My suggestion to you is to try and speak their language. You'll probably have a difficult time with it but they appreciate it when you try to assimilate to their culture. This was what we did and, contrary to popular belief, we never encountered a rude frenchman.

Have a great trip!

You'll be fine!! I stumble using my French a lot and everyone is just friendly as all get out!

I'm jealous though, we don't leave until December!

Merci! I didn't have my french dictionary. And don't tell me what sals means (I just hope I'm not confusing the word for drunk with bathroom). I've insulted too many people already :rotfl:
