Leaving For Florida Wed!!!

Oh I have a question for you guys with kids. I have a guest coming in after me and they wanted to know if you can rent lockers at Disney... I have not been to Magic Kingdom in a while and I have no idea if they rent lockers there or not?
Yes....there are lockers in the MK under the the Railroad station. I think they're like $6-$7/day. Epcot, AK & MGM have them as well.

I wish I were one of you. I want out of this dreary, dark cold to the warm, green and bright. I still have 73 more days to go. Way to many.

All have a great time and send some sunshine my way. Cost little and would be so appreciated.

Safe trip all Deb

We made it! the Griswalds made it in one piece to Florida! We had a great trip it was a few more stops than normal and some traffic but over all it was a great drive!! :cool1:

You go into the gift shop on the right as you enter MK...you "purchase" the keys to your locker for the entire day from the CMs in there, then the key is good for the entire day, and you get your $10 deposit back at the end of the day when you return the key. It's nice because you can come and go and put stuff in or out of the locker all day long without having to feed it more quarters or anything.

We've used the lockers there on each of our recent trips to save us carrying around extra stuff. On busy park days though I've read that you want to get a locker early in the morning as they can sell out quickly, similar situation as strollers (we bring our own strollers and have them in our townhome for guests to use as well so this isn't an issue for us).

We are back home! We had a great time in Florida! The dogs did great with the ride! They were so good on the whole trip! We only had one problem my younger dog Harley fell in the pool while the pool blanket was on, I had to throw my phone and ear piece and jump in to get her before she got tangled up in the blanket....It was quite a funny site for my Husband who came out once I jumped in the pool! :rotfl: :rotfl: I would have loved to see that one on video! :teeth:
Its cold back here and of course I miss Florida! I can highly recommend the fruit stand at 27 and 192. We picked up a bag of tangerines and ruby red oranges there before we came home and they are so good!

Also the guests who were coming in after me used www.gardengrocer.com and ordered groceries from them. All we did was open the door, they came in and put the food away in the Fridge and Freezer and were on thier way! That is something I think we will do for ourselves on our next trip!

I think it soon will be time to plan the next trip down!

Hi Karen !
Welcome back ! Glad u had a nice time ! Hope you and Harley are ok after the unexpected dip in the pool !!!!

We had a nice time as well. The weather was really warm (80's) for the first 3 days. The day we left it dipped, and I believe the highs were only in the upper 60's/low 70's for the rest of the week ? Still beats Philly which was at 37 degrees when we touched down at 5 pm.
Only down part of the trip was that my dh's flight was majorily delayed on Friday, Dec 1. The kids and I flew out Friday morning---we landed about 9 am in Orlando. DH was due to fly out of Philly at 8:30 pm and arrive at 11 pm. I get a call while I'm having dinner with friends at the WL that PHL airport is experiencing major delays. He had been at the airport since 6 pm and his flight would be leaving between 2 and 3 am ! This was due to high winds/heavy rain in Philly , as well as that nasty winter storm in the midwest. He got into WDW at 5:30 am having been up all day. He was dragging so bad by Saturday night that he was near delirious ! :rotfl:
Osbourne Lights were so beautiful...I hadn't seen them since 1998.
Mbb....hope your trip is going well too !!!
Here's a pic of my dh after being awake for like 38 hours ! Still had that smile on his face as he was waiting for a Casey dog in the MK at 11 pm !

Maria,
The pictures are great!! I love it that you hubby was such a trooper! How great is that! I am also glad he made it to Florida ok but spending that much time in an airport YUCK! LOL
It looks like you had a good time! I know it was very cold the last day in Florida for us the high was 57, but it is still colder here in Maryland! I am just about ready to plan our next trip! LOL

I know it was very cold the last day in Florida for us the high was 57, but it is still colder here in Maryland!
Wow ! Didn't realize it had dipped that low ! It that was the high, the lows must have been upper 30's/low 40's ? But you're right....still warmer than our neck of the woods !
And, thanks, glad u liked the pics.

Karen I would have paid to see the dip in the pool. You will never forget this vacation.
and it seems like your husband won't either.

Maria your poor husband I got to say he is a die hard fan of Disney because if that were mr I would have crashed for at least 8 or more hours before I could be normal again. What a guy you have there. I know when my husband has had a long week I can not even get him out of bed or off the couch. Sounds like you also had a great time.

Welcome back. We have 60 days to go and I know that because I check almost every day. Here in RI we have gone from 58 on tue to 20 on wed. It has been real crazy. My brother his wife and 2 sons arrive on thurs. so we will have some fun with htem. Th boys are 5 months and 2.6 yrs. We have a lot to look forward to until vaca. It starts going by real quick.

Xmas, NY, DS BD, DD BD, and we leave 12 dats after her BD. I started with nothing going down. Usually I have tons. Now almost all the cases are full. My locked cabinet is being stocked. Found some good prices on some very nice linens. This time we will be doing Disney and one day in SW. When we were there we never got to see believe so we have special tickets to head in one day. Other then that it is all about Disney this trip.

Anything new either of you have done that was any good? We will be down for 16 days so we have time to check out things.

Deb,
I know what you mean about taking things, we just got back and I am now sending packages to my MC to hold for our next trip. LOL
Yes this trip was one to remember!

I know you have to be getting excited about going! I am trying to figure out if we can fly back for a long weekend in Feb! LOL Then a longer trip in May or June! Then maybe a long weekend in July/Aug! LOL My husband is going to love all the trips! LOL

We went to Celebration and they were making snow every night its soap bubbles but the kids loved it and were in the street making snow angels in the soap and shorts! That was great to watch! They have handsome cab rides and a small train ride that was fun.
They also have a Tavern resturant there that we got a great meal at!! Thier steak tips is wonderful!! So is thier new england clam chowder!
They have some fun and different shops!

Old town Kissimmee is a fun night too they have car shows and shops and some small rides!
We went to Gatorland it was very old and did not have the Disney factor, but for being the oldest attraction in Orlando it was very intersting to see all the local snakes, gators etc. It was worth the money at least once!

There is a fruit stand if you go out 192 to the left and make a right on 27 its on your right side before Wal Mart and we got some tangerines and Ruby Red Oranges that are to die for good! I may have to order some and have them shipped! They also sell fresh OJ and Tangerine Juice! They have samples for you to try!

You can try the space center and see if they have anything going on! Or a dinner show! If you want to look at any schedules for some of these places you can get some links to them here. http://www.flparadisevilla.com/attractions.htm

Oh we loved Typhoon Lagoon!! One of my favorites!
Have fun! :teeth: :teeth:

Deb ~
Have fun with the countdown ! I'm also trying to find a way to get back down for a long weekend ! We didn't do anything new this trip as Karen did.........really just stuck to disney property (but we were only there for 4 days). One night, we just sat out on the WL beach behind the resort and relaxed on the lounge chairs as we watched the EWP go by. We had an added treat that night and got to see the MVMCP fireworks going off as well.
The holidays will fly by and soon you'll be looking your wdw trip right in the eye ! You picked a good time of the year to escape the cold.

Love the pictures, Maria! Your family is gorgeous :goodvibes

3 more days, and we're at that point where we're all waking up at 5:30am...

"Mom? Dad? We can't sleep!!! We're too excited!!"
