My Fiance are heading to Disney in two weeks for a much needed vacation. We are planning on staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Disney and are going for a week.

Any advice or suggestions for us that might help. Neither of us have been to Disney before. We did get the Park Hopper Plus tickets for the week!

Thanks for all your help!

Have fun!!! Enjoy all of the theming and Disney Magic, take your time while visiting the parks, linger over the places you like, resist the urge to rush through things and enjoy the Florida Sunshine.

Get yourself a copy of Birnbaum's book or one of the other books about WDW. It will give you an idea of what you definitely want to see and what you want to see if you have time.

Have a great trip!

please take us with you. Your trip comes much sooner! just joking. Make sure to see the parades. I tend to try and talk my kids out of them so we can go on more rides. By the end of the parade or actually the beginning I am glad i stayed for the "MAGIC"

Enjoy the magic! Pay attention to the little details.

Most importanly, have a small must do list, but relax and have fun.

Take time to see the Pixie Dust

 Me and my husband are going to Disney in two weeks also. I have been but he has never been on any vacation .. I am just hoping that we can have pretty good weather .. We are arriving on the 19th thru the 24th .. staying at Port New Orleans .. Riverside?? Hope you enjoy your trip.. I plan to..have fun!!

If you have the opportunity go to the Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party. It's a lot of fun and you don't have to wait in line for the popular rides. Also, be sure to do Mickey's PhilharMagic. I hope you have lots of fun.

We are just back from the Courtyard at DTD. We had a nice room (room 710) overlooking DTD from which we could see MK and EPCOT fireworks. We were told we were given this room despite the rock-bottom rate we were paying because we were Marriott Rewards members (you can join on the website). Might not work for you, but its free to join. Plus there is a seperate registration desk for Rewards members, which saved us a few minutes at check in.

One other tip: If watching EPCOT fireworks from your room, the show starts at 9pm. You will see fireworks for a brief period of time and then nothing-- but sit tight, the show is not over. Give it another 5 minutes or so and you will see a much bigger fireworks show to follow.

If you like trying different foods (from different countries), go to EPCOT......

Other than that, plan as few "must sees" as possible (ie: things revolving around a current film or character), and just enjoy the magic. You will have many more years to see all that WDW has to offer.

Go to the magic of animation exhibit at MGM. After a "movie" they show you, they take you in a room where an animator draws pictures. When they get ready to lead everyone into the next room, lag behind and talk to the animator. If you ask (and it's a nice animator), they'll draw you a quick picture of Mickey Mouse and autograph it for you. We saw a couple of families do this and wish we had too. What a great free souvenir! ::MickeyMo
