Leaving for College program with DD on the 4th!

Yesterday morning, before we left we went to the food court at CBR and we agree it is very very nice. Food was good and atmosphere very pleasant


We have probably decided that CBR is our favorite moderate.

Now I need to count the days until our next trip to Disney. Trying to find a deal on airfare the beginning of Nov. Monday night, I saw that one way on Spirit Airlines was 74.00. I thought well this must be their new deal and figured I'd do it on Tuesday (*book it). I know that you are a step ahead, because you know that when I went on the next day, it was 141.00 one way!! Boy, did I ever goof! I guess I'll continue to watch it. I'm still thinking about your offer to get Pal Mickey. Yes Dear and JK1...... how did you guys spend Tuesday? Do anything exciting? Anyone who we didn't meet, it really was great and look forward to another meeting or get together.

DD is getting off relatively early these few days. (Too bad that she couldn't do it while we were there.) She says that things have slowed up since Labor Day and they clean up and out early. I have never been in the parks in off season where it is slow. That must be so neat to just walk on rides during the day..... no lines. My school hours changed, so late nights are going to be difficult for me..(probably won't keep me off the computer, though) Need to leave for work at 6:30 am rather than 7. School starts at 7:45. Oh boy..... it makes me tired just thinking about it! Marla

I spent Tuesday over at the DVC models looking at the Saratoga Springs models. Then I had lunch at Beaches 'n Cream with a friend who lives in Orlando. (Did not see the Prince anywhere. ) Then it was off to the airport.

We had breakfast at CBR food court. Really nice.
Went to Dis U then PC then DTD then Freaky Clown pool at Boardwalk. JK1 that is where Prince was deployed that day! Then went to Olivia's at OKW for lunch. Also very nice! Then went to airport then home.

DS said last night that SAB was dead yesterday. Said he took a shift at Typhoon Lagoon today! Said he was also going to be deployed to one of the AS's next week for two days. He said really strange to be guarding water!!! Empty Water. We had heard from front desk at BC that occupancy was picking up in about 10 days. Maybe new quiet time to visit is right after Labor Day!!!

DS says he is going to a 10 hour day and three days off. He is looking forward to having that extra day.

Jk1 what did you think of your tour of SSR? As you know DW really liked it and informed me she would own there!! Once again you understand my name Yes Dear!!! LOL

So YesDear, how many points did you/are you buying at SSR? LOL

I liked the units very much. From what I have seen through pictures of the pool area, I envision SSR to be a great place for a relaxing vacation with some nighttime fun at DTD.

I think I will wait til the second year to stay at SSR since they will be opening the buildings one at a time starting with those farthest away from the pool/food area. I'd rather not put up with the ongoing construction during a stay.

Just thought I'd update y'all -- I didn't get the campus rep position. Apparently college recruiting tech support hasn't updated the list of schools with open positions for quite a while. I finally heard from our area's recruiter, who advised me to go ahead and work with the reps this semester to see if it was really something I wanted to do.

So, I went to the first rep meeting here -- turns out two of our reps are graduating in december and they've both offered to write me letters of recommendation so I can have their position in January! I'll be working with them and helping them out this fall (our presentation is on Sept. 24th).

Hopefully the fact that I'll have worked as an actual rep for no compensation for a semester will help sway the powers that be into giving me the job for real!

In typical Disney fashion you have taken lemons and made them into lemonaide! I am proud of you for your attitude and approach. I am certain that pixie dust works in mysterious ways.

DS is doing fine. He got to meet Jim Lovell the astronaught the other night. He also got to work Typhoon Lagoon the other day. He said he had a blast. He is working the All Stars for a couple of days

His roommate auditioned and got a role in the Christmas procession and is very excited.

He has said everything sure slows down after Labor Day! He is glad to a certain extent.

Spoke to Prince last night online and I need your opinon if you think something may be wrong!

It appears that Disney housing did a room inspection yesterday of his apt. They said everything was fine but it could use some cleaning. Now that was not great surprise.

What concerns me was his response. He had the day off yesterday so he spent the entire day cleaning the apartment!!.

DID YOU HEAR ME??? He had the day off and spent the whole day cleaning! I am wondering if the West Nile Virus is around Orlando and maybe he got bitten by a bug!

I hope his mother does not read this. She will be on a plane so fast! She will be convinced he has gone delirious!

Don't worry YesDear it is only temporary. My daughter was afflicted with the same virus your son has. She recovered from that cleaning illness once she got back to Pgh. She also forgot how to cook. She does remember laundry though.

I will be sending pixie dust that he recovers quickly.
