We are planning to arrive at Epcot for AM EMH at 8 AM, rope drop Soarin' and Test Track, FP Frozen, then head over to the Boardwalk for Bon Voyage character meal. Does leaving the park seem like a huge hassle for a character breakfast? Rethinking this idea. Thank you.

Figure that your actual travel time will take 10-20 minutes, each way (20-40 min. total.)
You can choose to walk or take the shuttle boat. (Map below.)
Walking speed and/or timing of boat will determine the length of each trip.

Then, add the time you need to wait for seating and actually dine (let's say 70 minutes, give or take)
and you can determine if this is worth the time (90-120 min, or so) out of the park for your group.

It is a matter of preference really. I tend to park hop frequently, so I am not as bothered with leaving a park for a meal. Granted, it is usually with a switch to a different park. The key is if you think it will be a bother to leave the park for the meal.

No..with your plans for EMH it's a sound strategy. After breakfast you can head back to Epcot to finish up future world and you can be in the world showcase shortly after it opens. Now if you plan on being there for Illuminations its going to be quite a long day so I'd have other ides in mind for the afternoon/evening.

Okay. If we keep the plan, which way should we take from Norway to Boardwalk? This will be before 11 AM. Our Frozen FP starts at 9:30 and breakfast is at 10:30.

That's your opinion - others feel differently. The point of my post is that you were able to state your opinion without accusing the OP of failing as a parent and not taking responsibility for her actions - or using the insulting "this is on you" phrase.

You'll need to walk toward Mexico and circle around past Canada and UK to get to the IG prior to 11 am.

Below-
Counter-clockwise: from Norway, take the red line to meet the purple line... to the International Gateway.

My take:
It's not a big hassle. Simple, really. The issue might be what your plans are in Epcot afterwards. Your feet might be in for quite a workout. I'd suggest, even though walking could be faster, thinking about using the boats to and from breakfast. It might save your feet a little if you are planning the rest of the day walking around epcot.

Nope. It’s a really short walk from International Gateway to the Tratoria Al Forno.

The longer walk is from the Norway Pavilloon to intrrnational Gateway...

Ok. Thank you! Yeah, it stinks we'll be back tracking from Norway, but it'll be fine. I think the breakfast will be worth it for my daughter to have breakfast with princesses ;)

We did this exactly on a 8 a.m. EMH Epcot day last month. Got to the park at 8, rode a few rides (the lines were actually nuts), did Character Spot when it opened at 9, used a couple FP, walked to the Bon Voyage breakfast for 10:30, and then had a noon FP for FEA. It worked out perfectly, and was a great mid-morning break from the park. We were refreshed and ready for more rides when we got back to Epcot. It's a very easy walk - and it was one of our better breakfasts. Enjoy! :)

Oh, thank you so much for your opinion! I'm so excited to hear that it worked out for you. We plan to get to Epcot, split up into Soarin'/Test Track groups (I don't care about Soarin' but some people in the group do!), head over to FEA for a FP then go on over to breakfast! I wish we could have done the FP for FEA after breakfast like you did, but I'm thinking my kids will sleep in the stroller on the way back and I don't want them to miss it or be tired and grumpy.

It’s probably my favorite character meal tbh. It’s very rare to see Prince Eric or Flynn Rider in the parks and to see them in one place makes it so much easier lol. Enjoy!!!
