And with all the trash cans all over WDW, what sane person would leave a nasty diaper hanging on their stroller? Especially in hot weather? Most thieves are smarter than the guidebooks.

It was a compilation of reader comments and suggestions of things that they had done to make their stroller more noticable to them, not the guidebooks suggestion to deter thieves.

That may be, but the guidebook used that and it's repeated all over the place. Like I said, thieves aren't that dumb. If they want that $400 stroller, they'll take it and the stuff on it.
