Leaving CBR tomorrow

This is advice to anyone considering the CBR. Don't do it. Disney World is the greatest place in the world to be. Don't ruin your vacation with bad bus service, bad mousecleaning service. We had to call a cab just to make an ADR that my DS was so excited about. We waited 40 min for the bus.
That wasn't our only bad bus experience at this resort.
Mousekeeping left a wet pullup of my DS on the bed (after it was made)
We are already planning our next magical vacation at disney. I will be very careful when choosing our next resort. I hope this helps someone.
We still are Disney freaks!!!

Wow! What's going on with the bus service at CBR? This is about the 5th post I've read about the terrible bus service. I even had a co-worker who recently returned say the same thing. I don't think I have ever waited more than 15 to 20 minutes. I'll be there in 2 weeks. I hope things get better for the crowds WDW gets during Christmas week.
 

Hi, I really hate to admit it because CBR has always been a fave of mine but, it's true after having stayed at CBR one to two times per year for about eight years now, I was :eek: at how unkept the room was. I noticed it last year during a split stay. But, I thought maybe it was a one time thing and maybe our mousekeeper was not really doing that great of a job, after all everyone works differently, wrong.....the room was not clean again, dust, the shower curtain had mold on it (I called to have it changed), the sheets had some stains and some holes, the rug :scared1: so dirty I would keep the childrens shoes on till going to bed or for bath time, I can mention a few more but you get the point. Again, after staying at CBR I thought last year was a one time event/situation but that was not the case. As much as I love CBR grounds, I don't think we'll be staying there again :sad1: I certainly hope this problem with mousekeeping can be addressed so that I and so many others can return to this beautiful resort some day soon.
 
Im sorry to hear that your vacation wasnt all you had hoped for =( We really enjoyed CBR last year, but we didnt use the bus service either.
 
I was so disappointed when we stayed at CBR last September. We had brought family members who had never been to WDW with us. I think they may have been disappointed in CBR, too. The busses were pretty bad. They took forever. We were almost late for a few of our ADRs even though we would leave an hour or so before we had to be there. Also, it seemed to take awhile for busses to come to take us back to the hotel.
Also, when we first arrived (after a long flight from the west coast), we didn't get into our room til almost 5 o'clock in the evening. And we checked in around noon. Mind you we had a 9 month old baby with us and it was hot, hot, hot. After we checked in we called about every hour to see if our room was ready. After the 3rd time, the cast member said, "Oh, the carpet is not dry yet; we had to clean some stains." Huh? When we checked in they were still stains and the room reeked of cigarettes. We will never stay there, again.
 
I can't speak for the busses but stayed at CBR several times this year and the resort was great. No problems with mousekeeping, cleanliness of rooms, etc.

I am sure on the DIS you will find bad experiences at all the resorts.
 
Wow, I'm sorry you had a bad experience there too! I was just there again in March and it was wonderful! Clean rooms, friendly CM's, and all the bus service was fast -- during Spring Break, no less!
 
I was just at CBR in August (third time staying there) and had no problems whatsoever. Buses ran regularly, rooms were clean, staff was nice, quiet at night and mornings, food good and so on.
 
I think next time you should try CSR!!
We are going in October and I considered CBR but my family wanted CSR again.

The service and resort are fantastic!

Hopefully next time your stay will be better.
 
Also just returned from 5 days at CBR. The room was just plain nasty! And this was after sitting outside of the room and watching Mousekeeping spend 40 minutes in it cleaning for our check-in which we weren't allowed to do until 3.5 hours AFTER Mousekeeping was done cleaning it. After 40 minutes of cleaning this is what our chrome faucets looked like......

I'd say that this saddens me, but the truth is that over the last 3 years and 12 trips this has been the rule and NOT the exception at both DVC and cash resorts.
I for one have had ENOUGH and we will NEVER stay in a Disney resort again. We are selling off our BWV DVC interest ASAP. This is just a Mousekeeping issue, but it seems that everything at WDW is doing a constant downhill slide. ( IMHO )
 
I'm Sorry to hear about your bad experience with CBR. I stayed there in May and i had a GREAT stay there. we never waited anymore then 15 min for a bus. CM's were great, room was always cleaned great. It might have to do with the time of year you choose to go... it might have been a little busier then when I went. But i hope you enjoyed your vacation otherwise...
 
Which section were you in Mike ? Maybe mousekeeping is below par in one of the areas of CBR. We'll be there Saturday (2nd time there) and hope to have better luck.
 
I was in Jamica in July and now in early December in South Trinadad. It was very quiet, the grounds were beautiful, the bus service was fine, but the room was a different story.....unlcean.....both times.

We stayed at CBR last year and had no problems at all. We love CBR. :love: Also, a friend just came back about 1 1/2 months ago, and also had no problems and loved it! Sorry you had a bad stay.
 
I'll add my voice to those who have stayed at CBR several times and never experienced any significant problems with mousekeeping, maintenance or bus service. In fact, we just returned on 12/15 from two weeks at CBR. We did have a long wait for an MK bus one day, but otherwise not more than 10-15 minutes. I guess it just goes to show that bad experiences can happen anywhere but aren't necessarily indicative of the overall quality of the resort. I'm sorry that your stay wasn't what you had hoped for. I'm sure that was very disappointing.
