Leave the park for dinner at Goofy's

We plan a 5 day trip in Sept/Oct - arriving friday morning and staying in anaheim through tuesday.
Have you ever left the park to eat at Goofy's and then returned? Is it a big inconvenience to do so?

I'm considering doing this on an MHP night, or maybe our final day.

Any opinions, advice?

It's not an inconvenience. We typically always leave the park for a chunk of time anyway. The DLH and Goofy's Kitchen are a short walk through DTD. Are you attending the MHP or are you planning on trying to re-enter DCA?

It is about an 8 min walk each way. We frequently go to dinner at Steakhouse 55 (next door) then return to the park, and don't feel it is a big deal.

I could do it our first night, when there will likely be an MHP, but we wouldn't get party tickets that night. My concern is that we're flying in early that morning, and I'd worry a crazy flight delay would make us miss the reservation. Unlikely but still...

I don't suggest doing it on a night you're going to MHP as it would likely cut into your party time? I'm sure with a flight delay, they'd be accommodating of not charging you a cancellation fee. It's hard to say!!

I would not do it on your party night. I agree about it taking too much time.

As for getting there, we like to take monorail over and then back into the parks. It's really easy to/from the DLH hotel - assuming you're not coming back into the parks late enough to coincide with the fireworks. But even then, it's a short walk through DTD.

It's not that bad if the monorail is running. Very convenient in fact. But I'm not sure if I'd give up park time to do it. Especially not on your party day and definitely not on your last day.

We do it all the time. Sometimes we return back to the park other times we shop at Dowtown Disney. We would not do it if we had to be somewhere at a certain time. You want to really enjoy your time at both Goofys and MHP and not be checking the time every other minute.
