Leave magic bands in owner's locker

Is there any reason we need to take our magic bands home with us or can we just leave them in our owner's locker for our next trip?

If you use Disney's Magical Express to get from the airport, you'll need your MB. Also, if you ever head straight to the parks before you get into your room and receive your luggage, you'd need to have your MB.

We were at Disney this Oct and are booked for visit in a few weeks and they sent us new bands and it is a split trip so they sent us ANOTHER set of bands????

Supposedly, someday when they finish the "testing," you won't get another band for free if you already have one. So as of today, you're right. Eventually, you'll want to have a band at home with you for re-use.

Also if you play Disney Infinity, the bands unlock a secret dragon level. I am sure there will be more theme park perks built into the Infinity platform in the future.

If you only have one Magic Band, and you leave it in your Owner's Locker, how will you unlock the door to your room?

Or are you assuming that (for now at least) Disney will send you a new Magic Band for your next trip, so the Magic Bands from this trip would be extras?

Thanks all, actually we have two sets of Magic Bands from different trips, so I am leaving one set in our locker. I really do not know if it is of any benefit to leave a set in our locker but for now I also do not see a benefit of having two sets at home.

I am back in the snowy weather now. It was a nice, short break from the face-biting cold we have had this winter. I am grateful to have been able to get away for a few days.
