DFi saw this last time we were there, and wants to do it this trip in honor of our honeymoon. Anyone have any idea how much it is? Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks!

We were going to do this too, but we ended up not doing it.

It's not very expensive (IMO)...I think it's like $35 or close to that...

We did this for our Disneymoon in April of 2004 when it was part of the dream maker package. At the time it was 25.00 + tax. They could have raised the price. After you get it done, you will get a receipt. And about 8 weeks later you will get in the mail an envelope. Inside are 2 pictures of what it looks like and it tells you where it is. When you go back and you forget to bring it with you or write down your location, just ask someone and they can look it up by your last name and show you how to find it. It's great to know that for the next 20 years, you will be there. :goodvibes

DW and I did this last December and can't wait to head back and find our tile. We found it to be a great deal with the cool packet you receive. :wave2:

We did this for Valentine's Day last year. We bought 2 tiles. I think it was (at the most) $50 for 2 tiles. So our pics were on one, and a note was on the other. I haven't seen it yet, but we are leaving :wave2: tomorrow morning.....cant wait!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

The price is around $25.00....it is weel worth it! And what a great way to remember your trip...and look forward to seeing it every time you go! DBF and I did one last Thanksgiving...and found it while we were there in Sept....ours is near the front and it was sooo to think that our smiling faces are at Disney everyday!!!

We got a tile for free as part of our package last year. I can't wait to go back and see it.

Where do you get those done? While you are there or send in a form with a picture?

Am I the only person who thinks those things are an eyesore? I feel like I'm walking through a cemetery when I got through there -- with giant ugly tombstones. I forget what was there before, but I'm guessing it was flowers.

You get them done while you are there. They take your pic and that's it. But remember, no more than 2 people in a pic.

KevinFSU,

The booth is on the right after enter epcot center. Just stay right and you'll see it.

RE: the cemetary comment ... we usually enter Epcot through the Intl. Gateway, so DS8 had never seen the LAL pylons. We recently did a really quick weekend trip and stayed offsite, so in through the front gate we went.

DS started sniffling as we were walking into the park, and I asked what was wrong (I thought he was having some kind of allergic reaction.) He told me that it was really sad that so many kids were dead. Yes, folks, the minute he saw LAL, he concluded that it was a memorial, and I'm afraid that I have to agree that it looks like one.

Does anyone have a pic of there tile? Please post it for us to see. Thanks!

This will be my first trip to the world and I think we are planning on doing one. My brother and sister in law went last year and they got one done with my niece and nephew on it. They gave us the location so we plan to look for it and take a picture of it while we are there. We saw the pic they got with the packet and it looked really cute.

We got ours taken on December 31, 1999! Our DS was 9mo old at the time, so DH and I each took a pic with him. The bad part is that he was sooooo blonde that he barely shows up in the picture. Now that DD3 is here, I keep saying we should really do another one of the 2 kids, too bad it can't be near the first one, it is right up front. I'll check when I get home to see if I have a picture of our picture :flower:

Wow! Out of the mouth of babes!

I guess they were going for the modern look when they designed them. I can see how they would remind people of memorials.
I imagine they are going to run out of space eventually like the bricks in front of magic kingdom. The question will then be: Will they keep the "leave a legacy" walls there? or will they move them?

Here are sample tiles. (I hope this works... first time adding a photo!)

Just to keep in mind...

It takes about three months from the time you take your picture until the time it is up on the wall.

And, an answer to whether the walls will be there forever...NO, they most likely will not be. If you read the paperwork you sign when getting the picture taken, somewhere on there is where it states how long the walls will be up. I believe that's where I saw it. I know for sure I saw it somewhere because I questioned the gal about it.

We chose to do the kids and think it's an exciting thing to look at when we go back. :goodvibes
