LEAST FAVORITE RIDE?

I'm upset that I never got to experience the old Alien Encounter!

I'm upset that it's gone. I have to say it was my all time favorite Disney attraction. So incredibly intense. It really was terrifying, but in a really good OMG I can't believe how realistic it felt kind of way.

I took my sister on it at age 12 and now as an adult some 15 years later she's still terrified of aliens.

Actually the old Alien Encounter was very similar to stitch. The same basic theater part of the original attraction was in DL, *Trip to the Moon*. The imagineer who designed it was Mr. David Gengenbach, who was a member of our Church herein CT and a good friend. He passed away about 8 years ago. Dave had amazing stories about Walt and building DL and WDW. He was also a senior member of the Monorail team and 3 month before the WDW MK opened, he was handed the plans for the original Astro Rockets and told to get it done!. The time was so limited Dave and his 3 sons was putting the final paint on the attraction the night before the MK opened.

AKK

The only ones we skip are Great Movie Ride - I know people love this one, but it bores me to tears (I'm sorry!) and Mission Space.

Any of the virtual rides - Star Tours, Mission Space, the old Body Wars - can't do them they make both me and my son sick and he claustrophobic as well. Can't ride RNRC, too jerky, it hurts my neck and gives me a headache. We don't ride any of the kids rides at MK but that's just because my son is grown and we save the FP for the little ones. None of the water rides - Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids - I don't need to walk around wet. And don't tell anyone but I'm not crazy about TSMM or Buzz - if I'm solo I don't ride either one - I'm one and done if I'm with my son - I just don't like video games.

I rode the Great Movie Ride once, and it was alright, but it is dated. I don't know how many kids these days would recognize any of the scenes depicted.

Haha... so I'll go by park:

MK: Tikki Room. I really didn't enjoy it.
AK: Dinoland. The whole area just feels like a carnival, and does NOT fit AK's themeing.
EP: Never tried it - but Mission Space. Too claustraphobic for that!
HS: there was honestly nothing there that we did that I didn't enjoy. That said we didn't get to try RnR, Muppets 3D, Great Movie Ride.

Stitch. I had heard that it was bad, but my family loves Lilo and Stitch so we tried it. 7 of us rode it and we all said that it was a one and done. I wish something better could be done with Stitch. Love the character and he definitely belongs in Tomorrowland.

i dislike mission space. the spinning, the tiny enclosed space with strangers = a giant nope.

Both Sum of All Thrills and Mission Space are a giant NEVER for me. I'm claustrophobic.

Hmm, there's nothing I can think of that I'd ever refuse to go on if someone I was with REALLY wanted to go. That said, I've done the below before but would probably try to dissuade a friend from doing it first.
  • Stitch's Great Escape. No need to explain why.
  • Tommorwland Speed Way. At least with adults. If you can drive a real car these putt-putters hold zero appeal.
  • It's Tough to Be a Bug. Ouch.
...actually, there is one ride I'm weirdly afraid of. Astro Orbiters. I did it once and felt like I was going to go flying out in the ether. Not sure if I could be brave enough to do it again. (This from someone who LOVES EE, RNRC, and all the other thrills. XD)

actual correct answer- Twitches Great Escape- absolutely awful refurb of a decent experience that just wasn't Disney material (the original Alien encounter, which ironically should have been themed after the actual Alien Movies, and put in Hollywood studios or something)- as it is now, its just lame and doesn't work. Avoid.

My more personal answer (though I know calling it "the worst" is asinine) - Tower of Terror- sorry I just don't like "free fall" rides (even if I can admit the experience and theming is exquisite, not to the mention the visual spectacle of the ride itself from the outside. Just don't care for that kind of movement.

Can't think of anything I went on that I hated, or even disliked.
I guess if I had to rate them, Dumbo and Aladdin Magic Carpets would be on the bottom of my list as they are just like standard amusement rides and not very exciting.

Oh, and the Michael Jackson one at Epcot (I forget the name) was bad but for the same reason, hilarious. So i actually liked it.

But I would never try rides such as Mission Space, Tea Cups, Tower of Terror or Star Tours (which is one of my son's favorites) cause I have a queasy stomach.

Stitch.

I can't go on teacups due to dizziness, but I loved that ride when I could handle it years ago.
