Least expensive way to get from Airport to Royal Pacific Hotel?

We've always rented a car in Orlando. This trip it will only be DD12 and me, and we are only going to be at the Universal Parks for 4 days, so no need for a car. What's the least expensive way to get from MCO to the RPH? Taxi? Towncar?

Well, if you realllllly want to save $ you can take a public bus. It will cost you $1.50 per person and it takes you within a couple blocks of the resort. It is supposed to take an hour. I think it's called the International Drive route but it has a number, too. You can get info about routes and stops by going to the Orlando Airport (MCO) website and click on transportation.

We are going to try it out on the way to our hotel because our first hotel (before we switch to RPR) is just one block away from the bus stop. I'm sure others will chime in with slightly quicker and higher $ options.

You can book your transportation on-line by googling Mears Transportation or Quick Transportation for a free quote. Last year we used Quick Transportation from Royal Pacific to the airport. If I remember correctly, I think it was about $18 to $20 per person one-way.

Taxi or limo are the fastest ways. Mears is slightly cheaper than a cab but they stop at other hotels along the way.

Car service is about $100 R/T with grocery stop included, gratuity not. Worth every penny imho....private transportation at YOUR speed...not waiting on others

Actually, just used a company recommended on this site but I'm pretty sure I can't name them -- it was $82 with a 30minute grocery stop. I tipped $18 on the way there, $10 on the way home so $110 total. Probably not the cheapest but for the extra few dollars, much more convenient than Mears or other shuttles and cheaper than a taxi. Good luck. We thought the service was very good and especially liked that we didn't have pickup until two hours prior to our flight rather than the ME 3 or 3 1/2 hours.

another vote for mears. i always use them to head to universal. we are usually in a 6 passenger van on the way to the resort and usually only heading to 2 or 3 resorts but sometimes on the way back to airport you do make many stops to pick up other passengers. never bothers me though...i'm in florida!!

we use this company too.

Can we not say their name?? Part of it is x-ed out.?? They are by far the best towncar service in Orlando, and we have used them all.
