I am chaperoning for my son's middle school band trip to WDW. I have 4 boys in my group ages 13 & 14. I would like to treat them to a lunch at a TS. Ideas on the least expensive place to take them? Any park - we have parkhoppers.

I think Sci Fi is pretty inexpensive. The cars seat 6 (3 bench seats for 2 people per bench). Menu is mainly hamburgers and shakes.

For boys that age who eat nonstop, I would recommend a buffet. How about a late lunch? That would run about $18-$20 each and they could get VERY full. After that, a lunch buffet at Trail's End at Fort Wilderness is probably the next lowest cost.

Otherwise, they are ordering from the menu and probably the cheapest TS in a park would be the Plaza at Magic Kingdom.

Look above this page and click on Dining. You can click through to all the menus and they will give you specific cost.

I like the idea of a TS lunch buffet. Crystal Palace lunch is only $20 or so, and the food is really good, not sure if boys that age would want to do a character meal though.

Biergarten at Epcot is also really cheap, (by Disney's standards anyway.)

Have you thought of ESPN on the Boardwalk (just a short walk from EPCOT). Most teen boys love it there and it isn't really expensive.

How about the Plaza on Main Street at Magic Kingdom? We plan to pay out of pocket for this meal since it doesn't seem worth using a table credit on the dining plan.

That is so nice of you!

How about B&C? Cool soda fountain theme, juke box, warning, the ice cream is as much as the burgers :lmao:

The Fountain at the Dolphin. Menu similar to B&C, not as crowded and I love this place

The Plaza at MK, another inexpensive TS

At the studios Sci Fi and 50's prime time are pretty neat themed restaurants. Menu is moderately priced here but the theming is fantastic!

Let us know where you end up. :thumbsup2

I had not thought of a buffet. What about a late breakfast. Boys love breakfast. The only one I have done before is Donald's @ AK. How late is breakfast served?

The Plaza at MK and Sci Fi in DHS are very reasonably priced for lunch. I have 2 boys & they would much prefer Sci Fi over The Plaza. Sci Fi has GREAT theming & atmosphere.

These are my recommendations as well! Happy eating, Tiger :)

If you want lunch in the parks, Liberty Tree Tavern is also pretty inexpensive. They food there is really good also!! It think it was only around $15-$18 per person.

Least expensive per volume is the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness.

Sci Fi is a teen favorite but be sure to make an ADR as it's really busy!

For a breakfast Buffet I would go with Crystal Palace.
