I am planning a one day trip to DL/DCA in late July, probably the weekend of July 20. Due to schedule, the only day we could go to the parks would either be that Friday, Saturday or Sunday. So, I’m trying to figure out which of those three would be the least crowded day to go.

I find Saturdays during the summer to be the best day. Also, 7/21 (Sunday) is the day of the annual CHOC Walk and that will bring a little later park opening and families may decide to stay that day adding to crowds.
