Leapster question.

I am thinking of getting my kids DS 5 and DD 4 leapsters for christmas. I am not sure if I should get the LMAX or the regular leapster. I notice that the LMAX games can be played on the regular leapster, and some of the regular games on the LMAX, but not all. (Disney Princess comes to mind--only on the regular leapster). We drive to Disney so the big part of the reason that I want one is the ability to use in the car, but at home the LMAX would be nice to plug into the TV.

What are your thoughts?

I would go with the portable one.

We have the regular Leapster and DS uses it mostly in the car and in his bed before going to sleep. I chose the regular Leapster for him because it was less expensive and because the games were less expensive than the L-Max. DS has a couple of other plug-n-play computer games that helikes to play on the t.v.

The LMAX will play all the LMAX and regular games (so the regular or LMAX will play the Disney Princess game).
The regular Leapster won't play all the games on the LMAX cartridges, but will play some of them. The LMAX will play all the games on the LMAX catridges, but I guess it will only play some of them when it is hooked up to the TV.

I decided to go with the regular Leapster for now. It is cheaper and some of the LMAX games can be played on it as well. Plus I figure DS doesn't need to stare at the TV anymore than he already does even if it is for learning purposes!
