Leapster Didj

Kids woot .com has the Leapster Didj for $39.99 + s/h and a free game. I saw other places has it for $69. I wanted to know if you have it would buy again. Basically is it worth the money. I am thinking a Christmas present for my DS5. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. My son currently has the leapster and loves it. I was wondering what it would be like to get him the didj for Christmas as well. (He will be 6)

This spring my 7 year old moved up from a Leapster to a Didji. He likes it. It looks more grown up than the Leapster, but it still plays educational games.

Honestly if you are going to buy a DS eventually, I'd just wait as long as possible then switch straight from the Leapster to a DS.

The reason I got the Didji is that I got a 75% OFF Bundle from Target after Christmas so it was $22.50 including a game. It was worth it at that price since a DS is over $100.

My seven year old and five year old like it a lot. We do not do traditional video games, so it is a nice alternative. The games are decent, not a huge selection, but are a nice bump/step up from the Leapster games. We would deff. buy again.

My daughter and neice love theirs (7 and 8 years old). I just downloaded the game that is included (free download from the website when you register) and my neice wouldn't stop playing it. The games are not overly difficult. But you can add different skill levels online by plugging the didj into your computer. The games are pricey. So I've bought mine off of ebay. Aiming to pay $15 total including shipping. We don't have a DS or a leapster to compare it to. But my girls enjoy it.

Thanks for the info! I think I will go for it. We have an old Leapster and a DS and he still plays with the Leapster. I like the educational part of it.
