Leap Frog tag pen 75% off

If you are looking for the tag pen Barnes and Noble has it for 75% off. We got it for $10 last night for DD3. I know that Leap Frog is coming out with a new one but it will be $100. The great thing about Leap Frog is their new books still work with the old tag pens. So this was a great buy for us. Both girls have a pen and I don't have to hear them fight over it.

The new leapreader is actually 50$ and has I believe about 4x's the storage of a tag pen. The tag pens really only hold 6-7 books. In this case I'd spring for the leap reader.

My pens hold more than that. My husband read that the new pen will be around $100. We already have 15 books on our pen and still have room for more. I know the tag junior only holds a handful of books.

Just be sure to check leapfrogs site to see if your tag books will work with the new pen. My son loves his and I was so excited when looking to replace his not-working-so-well one to find out about the new one. That is until I read that not all the tag books are working with it. I checked their list and the majority of the books we own will not work with the new pen and they are not on the "coming soon" list either. Real disappointment. I'll have to check our Barnes and Noble to see if they have the old ones on sale like OP said. That would be excellent!!
