Went to get a clean towel out of the airing cupboard the other day and found them all soaking wet
On closer inspection I found a leak from the cold water tank at the top of the airing cupbard
Can't tell where the leak is on the tank - it's either where feed pipe to the immersion cylinder comes out, or it's actually a hole in the tank itself
Got the plumber in to have a look and he says best to replace the whole tank as it's an old galvanised thing and is probably being held together with rust
Trouble is, whoever put the central heating in has routed the pipes to the expansion tank in the loft in front of the cold water tank, so all these pipes will have to be replaced and the central heating system drained
So I'll be £150 lighter after the plumbers done his stuff on Monday.
Hope the tank last the weekend or i'll need a
