wait, what did I miss?? They don't have it anymore!!??

I called today and got our dinner ADR for Feb.; I'm a bit nervous because the food sounds awesome, but we have DD3 with us, even though she - for the most part - behaves well in restaurants, I was worried that it might be mainly adults in the restaurant -trying to enjoy their dinner, they might not want to hear a chatty 3 y.o. next to them over dinner. How is the atmosphere? Will we be ok with our little DD? :confused3

I think it's a given that at Disney there will be children. I've never had any issue with my kids in restaurants there.

Congratulations!!!:thumbsup2

On a side note, I called this morning and was able to get them as well for our upcoming Jan trip, and it was open on the first day I was looking for. The CM was very surprised and asked if I had been calling everyday hoping that it would open up and told me it was like winning the lottery! :goodvibes (I think I would have rather had the lottery, though.) :rotfl2:

I think you might be fine. My wife and I took our baby last time when he was just a few months old and we were worried that he would cry and disrupt everyone. Even when he did start into it, we were able to feed him and that quieted him down. I know I wouldn't mind if a family had their kids at the restaurant. Especially since the entire park is full of families. Besides, sometimes the best conversations come out of the mouths of children. :rotfl:

They removed the Maple BBQ filet from the menu earlier this year. I know, I'm bummed too. But I still like Le Cellier so I'll try something new this time.

The last time we went, the kids in our group ranged from 4yr to 14yrs - they all loved Le Cellier, especially the breadsticks! IMO you'll be fine.

I was told the reason there are things gone off the menu is because of a change in chef's. You can tell the servers get asked a LOT about the maple BBQ filet and also there was some shrimp thing that had wasabi and something else that seemed like it would be horrible, but they assured my wife it was great, and it was.

All they say is express your concern and how much you miss those items, and hopefully they will get them back. They will do the best they can to get you close to the maple BBQ, but they dont have any sauce close to that style, so you can get it 'plain' and get whatever they have closest to a steak sauce they have. It was still really good.

I managed to get a ressie there too for our Feb trip. I originally wanted one for Friday the 6th but all they had was Thursday the 5th at 4:10. It's early but that's fine with me. We'll just eat a light, early lunch. It is our arrival day, which isn't great but hey, I'll make it work! Our last trip at the same time I couldn't get anything and hubby was disappointed.

YAY for you! I was able to snag a dinner for 6pm for March 7th...I was and still am in shock!!

i guess i'll have to keep trying. :( we can't seem to get ressies for our stay in feb.

and i cant even imagine how expensive a bill for 23 people will be! yikes... but it def sounds like fun. :)

You will be OK.. this is Disney World.. inside of a park not a fancy restaurant in a hotel or something :)

You will love the food, it's wonderful. :thumbsup2 We usually get the regular Fillet Mignon and enjoy conversations with our servers about home :)

When we were there in Sept I called 2times a day for what seemed forever and no luck on reservations... but once at the park we were able to get a table twice by just talking about home with the hosts outside. I think it really helps we are only a party of two though. :thumbsup2 The food was just divine and we thought the Fillet Mignon was better at Le Cellier than at Jiko (but please don't think the Jiko one wasn't good. It certainly was delish... just we preferred the Le Cellier more))

LOL What day?

We'll be there on Sat 2/21.
Sorry in advance to any of you who couldn't get a ressie that night because of our large group :(
And sorry to those of you who will be there and have to deal with our antics :dance3: seriously thou we're not that bad.

We had a wonderful lunch at LeCellier in 2005, and will eating dinner there in Feb. I can hardly wait!!
