Le Cellier Worth Changing Schedule for?

I should start by saying we were unable to plan this trip 180 days out- so we have had some trouble getting ADR's for the place and times we want. I was able to score a Le Cellier adr for 12:00 on the day we are planning to go to MVMCP. Originally I had planned to have a later breakfast/early dinner but now have the ressie right in the middle- it's sort of screwing up the plan. Is it worth it (for the lunch menu) to rearrange things to make this lunch or should I just chuck it?

For me it would be worth changing my thought process. I am a fan of Le Cellier. I won't say the food is extraordinary but I really enjoy the soup and pretzel rolls. The steaks are very good but I have had better.

It's okay. It's not really worth the hype. I like the cheese soup and mussel app but the steak is just okay. Personally I wouldn't rearrange my schedule for it especially if it's a hassle and not easy for you to swich days.

IMHO YES!!! I thought the steak was the best I have had..ever.

But that's me!

I would think about changing around my schedule as well. Le Cellier is one of my favorite places to eat. I would consider having a big lunch at Le Cellier and then eating QS over at MK before the party starts.

we just came back from wdw and thought this was one of our best meals there. the steaks were great and the apps were just as good. if you can get in there i would do it in a heart beat.

I liked LeCellier but not worth screwing up the schedule. My favorite thing about it was the pretzel sticks and i wouldn't change my plans just for them! :) I would think if your thinking about it this much then you should stick with the original plan.

I would go for lunch, but you may want to check daily to see if a ressie gets cancelled and you can get in at a more convenient time. Linda :)

I went through this same dilemma on my last trip, and Im so glad I went to Le Cellier. Both dh and i agreed it was the best meal of the trip. I was disappointed with the soup that everyone raves about, but once the steak came I was VERY pleased. We also had a lunch reservation and were very happy with the selection. I would definitley recommend giving it a go!

I know, tough problem right. I am going to keep the reservation (after consulting my mom- who will be on the trip with me). We're going to spend the morning in Epcot and rest after the meal...Thanks! We'll give it a try! Dana

I wouldn't change a days plan for lunch at any restaurant, LeCellier included. Just me maybe. It's good, but it isn't the be all end all some folks make it sound. Shula's, Yachtsman, and Artist Pointe all have just as good or better beef options, and the atmosphere is nicer. Just my opinion.

I agree about not changing any plan- but here I am doing it. I mean- it really isn't that big of change... instead of grabbing an early dinner we'll grab something in MK during MVMCP (I didn't think Le Cellier was that great last time we were there) but on the other hand, there's nothing that I see as better open either (esp. b/c we have to eat early for MVMCP)

This restaurant is very popular now with the new table service diners using one of the dining plans, since it is one of the few to offer steak for 1TS. Steak is disapearing from many TS as the these plans are being pushed under the affordabilty marketing campaigns and Disney looks for ways to recover cost. If you want steak this would be one of the places. Not great steak and nothing up to the hype you read on this site. If ADRs are already hard to get, then you have made the right decision to fit it into your plans.

I think this is the best place to have steak. The filet was so tender it was like cutting through butter. And not to mention the pretzel bread. Oh and the spicy chicken sausage for a starter. IMHO it is soo worth changing your schedule for. Now I am hungry :rotfl:

IMHO, there is not a single restaurant (other than V & A) that is worth changing your plans over. IMHO Le'Cellier does not even make my top 5 restaurants in WDW. I found Le'Cellier to be good, but far from great. I wouln't even list Le'Cellier in my top 3 1TS (soon to be a signature) restaurants for steaks either. Not trying to blast the place, I just think it's way overhyped, because on the ddp it is a nice value.

For those of you who are Le'Cellier fans who love the place, this is only my personal opinion based on my own experiences. Please don't take it personally, nor take it as an attack against you. I sure don't take it personally because you love the place. :goodvibes

I really hope that no one would take that as an attack? We all can't like every restaurant in the World. I think it is great to have different views and opinions. :)

We would change it in a heart beat. Our family loves Le Cellier (especially for lunch). This is one of few restaurants that we have to go back to everytime we are in Disney. Good luck.
