Le Cellier - what do you order?

[QUOTE
Its a steak house, order steak. Never order seafood at a steakhouse and never order steak at a seafood restaurant.[/QUOTE]

Not true, I had the best filet mignon at Bonefish Grill the other night, it was better than Le Cellier!

Another vote for the maple-glazed filet! Ask for the glaze on the side and control the amount you use -- I found the glaze to be more smoky than sweet and absolutely delish! Dip your morsel of steak in the sauce and then dip into your cream-cheese mashed potatoes. Heavenly!

Regarding not ordering steak in a seafood place -- the best steak I ever had on Disney property was at Narcoossee's which is considered a seafood restaurant - even our superb server said "not a bad steak for a seafood place, eh?"

We are still trying to get an ADR in Sept for there. It is booked for dinners for the entire week!

I booked a lunch but the menus are different!

I was only there once and I loved the cheese soup.

I was wanted the Herb Crusted Prime Rib but unless someone cancels and just happen to call I will never get it this trip!

I think they need to make this place larger or something!

what dates you interested in i got something for you i am sure

I really appreciate this thread. It's nice to hear what people enjoy at Le Cellier. I'm absolutely THRILLED to hear that the mushroom filet has not disappeared from LC (check out http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18376283#post18376283 if you are surprised or uncertain about this), but it's very encouraging to hear that the maple filet is also top-notch. The descriptions of the flavor of that filet have been very helpful, and I now feel like I have a great back-up for my trip in 37 days!!! I'll probably follow MEM's advice and get the sauce on the side as a precaution and then use as liberally or minimally as I desire.

I also appreciate the feedback about not ordering steaks at a seafood restaurant and vice versa. I, personally, disagree with this idea as I've had great dishes of both at supposedly the wrong place. To each his/her own, but as it turns out, when I asked about the bass and lobster, I was looking at a California Grill menu. Um, whoops! :) Anyways, I still contend you can get a good dish of seafood or steak no matter where you are. But I have been very reassured and enlightened by this thread, so thanks everyone!

I don't know if mashed potatoes would go well with a maple BQ Steak. I am going to want a big old baked potato with butter and sour cream..YUMOOOOO

Cheese soup, Maple Filet , Creme Brulee and Mango Smoothie!:goodvibes

Love the mushroom filet and shrimp cocktail. The last time we went we ordered the spinach au gratin - it was fabulous!

Vine ripened tomato stack, mushroom filet, creme brulee--I'll be eating it 7 days from now and again Sept 29th. Can't wait!!

I'm not sure they even sever baked potatoes there. I know most placed didn't serve them.

my very favorite thing to get is the mussels on the appetizer menu. I could have made a whole meal off those!

I've never had mussels - what are these like? I made the assumption that scallops are similar to shrimp, so are mussels like clams? I'm willing to try something new, but I'd like to know what to expect. Thanks!

What I ordered on my last trip (Nov. 06):

APP: shrimp cocktail with wasabi slaw (drooling at the thought)
Entree: Pork tenderloin with mashed sweet potatoe and small salad with
some kind of apple vinegarette (very tastey)
Dessert: Creme Brulee' (maple sugar and vanilla......:cutie: boy were they
good)

My girls (dd7, dd4 loved there food, and the desert for the kids were too cute.....enjoy

The thread title pretty much sums up my question. My favorite item was the Mushroom filet. Not sure I'd like the maple bbq filet.

What's good there?

that's my favorite too! I'm sad to see that it's not listed on the menu anymore. I'm actually changing my mind about wheter I want to go there or not now :(
