The thread title pretty much sums up my question. My favorite item was the Mushroom filet. Not sure I'd like the maple bbq filet.

What's good there?

We are still trying to get an ADR in Sept for there. It is booked for dinners for the entire week!

I booked a lunch but the menus are different!

I was only there once and I loved the cheese soup.

I was wanted the Herb Crusted Prime Rib but unless someone cancels and just happen to call I will never get it this trip!

I think they need to make this place larger or something!

I always get the cheese soup, maple glazed filet and maple creme brulee. I also eat too many pretzel breadsticks....:goodvibes

Thanks for posting this - can you describe (as best you can) the maple glazed filet? Will I feel like I should have a side of pancakes with this? I can't imagine a maple glaze on a filet, and it sounds very strange/nontasty.

Thanks!

ETA: I'm also interested to hear who (if anyone) has gotten the chilled Maine lobster appetizer or the serrano ham wrapped wild striped bass.

ANOTHER ETA: Okay, I was looking at a menu for Le Cellier when I posted this part about wanting to hear about the lobster or the wild striped bass. Sorry!

Its a steak house, order steak. Never order seafood at a steakhouse and never order steak at a seafood restaurant.

I don't think either of those are on the menu anymore

Does anyone know where I can get updated menus? Both allears and wdwinfo have older menus (2/07 and 10/06, respectively).

To me it is more like a BBQ sauce but not strong...I LOVED it can't wait to get it again in a few weeks

my very favorite thing to get is the mussels on the appetizer menu. I could have made a whole meal off those!

Herb Crusted Prime Rib - roasted Yukon potatoes, finished with a veal demi glace $21.99 YUM!!!!

I do believe this site has the most current menu posted! :surfweb:
Go allll the way up tp the top of the page and click on "dining", from there you can decide to see a complete listing of WDW restaurants, then click on Le Cellier in the Epcot section. :)

The Mushroom Filet is my favorite (mushrooms are one of my favorite foods) and I also enjoy the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Last time we skipped dessert so I really don't remember.

Went there for lunch last week and had the salmon salad. It was just ok. I thought the greens were too wilted. Kids and my husband had the strip steaks and liked them, though they were on the small side. DS had the burger and enjoyed it. We had appetizers of cheese soup--good, though a bit salty and the tomato stack-very tasty. Best was the pretzel bread.

Lunch : DH special orders the filet BBQ style, cheese soup
ME beef tips with udon noodles, caesar salad

Dinner : DH gets the same as he does for lunch
ME mushroom filet with bernaise sauce on the side, caesar salad

We were there three weeks ago and I had the maple glazed filet-I agree that it tastes like BBQ sauce. The mashed potatoes are really good. I also had the shrimp coctail for an appetizer and it wasn't that great. The chocolate whiskey cake and creme brulee are awesome!

Oh, the maple bbq filet is delicous! It's not syrupy-tasting at all. It is a very mild bbq flavor - it enhances the flavor of the steak. Ok, now I'm getting hungry!

I am from Nebraska...and a steak house in town that has the BEST roughy & scallops. (weird, I know, GOOD seafood in NE!) Salmon is usually good everywhere. (PS go check out BBQ sauces at the grocery store...you will find maple BBQ)

I tend to be fearful of ordering steak anywhere but here, KC or Chicago. That being said, our steaks on our last cruise were decent.

The Maple Filet is awesome, a little sweet but the cream cheese mashed potatoes offset it perfectly. Yummmm!

Not at all. The maple glazed filet glaze has a "touch" of maple sweetness to it. It really compliments the filet...;)

DH gets the new york strip steak, and chocolate cake (not on menu now)

me, it's the cheese soup, filet mignon and the creme brulee
