Le Cellier w/ 11 year old

We are eating at Le Cellier for the first time this May, using the Dining Plan. DS, 11, will not like anything on the Adult menu, but a lot on the childs menu. Has anyone ever asked for an adult portion of a childs menu item for a child? Or do you think they would allow us to just pay OOP for his? Before I get flamed, saving his TS credit is NOT the issue- I just want to get my money's worth. I would be glad to use his TS credit if he got a larger portion. He could always share it with his 1 yr old sister. Anyone have any experience with this issue? We really want to try Le Cellier- darn my picky eaters!

I would think that the child portions here are large enough for a typical 11 year old. The steak on the kid's menu was an 8 oz. steak, which is larger than I typically eat. I think my 3 year old son ate about a quarter of it. It also came with veggies and steak fries. I ordered a chicken tender meal for my 2 y.o. DD since the rest of us wanted steak (I knew she wouldn't be able to chew steak well enough), and it came with 3 or 4 really large pieces of chicken on it. I think she ate half of one.

Also, consider the fact that you are on the dining plan, and you EACH get an appetizer and dessert with your meal, I would assume there is going to be plenty of food to go around.

All that being said, I'm not really sure if you can order an adult sized portion of the kid's meals there.

So you don't think we would have a problem ordering a kids meal for him and paying OOP for it, even though he is 11? We would use the TS credits for ourselves and DS 7. Also, what appetizers would a picky child like? He is not a soup or salad eater- knowing him he will fill up on the breadsticks!
