Le Cellier & Voucher Questions

I was thinking of ordering a VKL Voucher and using it at Le Cellier. I have never eaten there. How is the food? I know the voucher can only be used for lunch hours. Does anyone know what the latest lunch seating is? I was thinking of ordering one meal with the voucher and splitting it with my five year old. Will they look at me like I have three heads if I tell them we are sharing? TIA

I made a PS for lunch in August, and the latest time I could get was 2:50. They stop serving lunch at 3pm.

I'm going to try again for sometime the last week in October, since we never did get their last time. And we're using a VKL voucher (DH and I); I think they see this all the time.

We have used VKL vouchers here many times and we share every time. We love Le Cellier and have never had poor service or food. The child's menu is reasonable and the food is excellent just in case you want to use the voucher for yourself!! Either way you will love it. We usually request the latest lunch available and we have been given as late as 3:30. They actually close for a short time (3:30-4:30 I believe) between lunch & dinner. Enjoy

Le Cellier is by far the best place to use the vouchers. The food is the best in WDW!! The only place we use the vouchers is Le Cellier because it is the best value and service. Be sure to make your reservation early. The lunch menu ends at 3:00 pm. If it was not for Le Cellier, I would never use the vouchers.

Someone just posted on another thread that Le Cellier is not very good if using the Child VKL's as there are no "child" appetizers and they won't let you select one off the adult menu. If I remember correctly, they also have desserts on the kids' menu so no adult choices there either.

Have any of you experienced anything different?

I was just going to use the adult voucher and split it with DS.

Just used our vouchers at le Cellier last week. It was my ds and myself and we used the adult and child vouchers. Our waiter was very pleased to see the vouchers and told us we could order anything we wanted. Using the child voucher we were allowed to order off the main menu.

Appetizers: Cheese soup and seared tuna
main course: I had the 10 oz steak...best I ever ate anywhere!
ds wanted burger off childrens menu
dessert: I had the desert sampler plate which was to die for, ds could have ordered anything he wanted but didn't want anything.

beverages: any non alchohol...incl smoothies. ds had the biggest and best chocolate shake/smoothie I ever saw...I had my usual diet coke.

I received a copy of the bill which totalled $140 incl tax and tip. The waiter added a couple of things on there I didn't order to obviously increase his tip amount which was on the total food, not the voucher cost as some had indicated in the past. The food we had totalled about $75.

I absolutely loved this place, the best meal I ever had anywhere. Service was fantastic, I will be getting a voucher for our next trip to use here again.

Yikes, that's pretty dishonest on his part.

Our Family of nine ate at LeCellier last week without vouchers. Wish I had known about them. My loss! But we had the cheese soup, prime rib, and Creme Brule for desert. The pork chops were to die for. All the food and service was great. You will enjoy this place for sure.

That was very dishonest of the waiter! Hopefully he is out numbered by the honest folks at LeCellier.

We have used vouchers here many times and they are a good value. However we have never been allowed to order off the main menu with a childs voucher. This is something new!!

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions to using vouchers during Christmas week? I'm trying to decide about Le Cellier for a dinner, but now that I think about it, it might be only available for the Candlelight Processional package. Does anyone know about this?

Given that the waiter was obviously scamming the system for tips, I wouldn't count on it being allowed by any other waiter. In other words, I don't think its "new"

We have never had a problem using vouchers during our holiday stays. We stayed Dec 24 - Jan 3 once!!! Wow , that was a great vacation!
